Some days plumbing means working in a finished basement. Other days it means following a dirt road into the woods and hoping the GPS is feeling adventurous.

One of the things I enjoy most about this trade is that no two days are the same. Whether it’s a downtown service call, a camp in the middle of nowhere, or a home tucked away down a logging road, Veteran Odd Jobs is always up for the journey!

It’s voting day, but don’t forget about the people who are truly helping to keep America running every day—small business owners.

From contractors and mechanics to restaurants, farmers, landscapers, and countless others, small businesses are the backbone of our communities.

A few local businesses I think highly of are Ryan’s Tire & Auto Repair, Foxx Run Farm LLC, and Richardson Seamless Gutters, but that’s just a handful of many great local businesses and I know I’m leaving plenty out.

I’m looking to connect with someone who is willing and able to take on occasional small drywall repairs and patch work for my customers.

One of the things I enjoy most about this line of work is that no two days are the same.

Today’s projects included repiping a laundry drain to properly discharge into the septic system, repairing a laundry water valve, upgrading a traditional door lock to a digital keypad lock, and repairing a toilet.

A little bit of plumbing, a little bit of handyman work, and another day of helping customers tackle their to-do lists. Thanks to everyone who continues to support Veteran Odd Jobs! 🇺🇸🔧🚽🏠

Today was a great day to be outside and enjoy some of what Maine has to offer. Opened a few camps for the season, spent some time in the lake installing a water line, and even did a little pressure washing for a long-time customer. Pressure washing isn’t typically a service I offer, but I was happy to help out. Days like today remind me why I love what I do.

Sometimes the best tools in the shop aren’t the newest ones. This old tool has seen a lot of jobs over the years, and instead of letting it sit on a shelf, it’s headed across the country to a fellow veteran and friend out in Washington State.
