Sir Jean Montremer elected to be tried by combat. In less than two minutes Ricctis, Lord Kellach, dispatched him with a downward cross sweep, opening him from left shoulder to his lower ribs. He then knelt beside Sir Jean and gave him last rights to Gladsheim.
