What a way to spend a Friday night! On August 28th I attend the Horse Heaven Round-Up in Kennewick, WA, is always one of my favorite events, and I look forward to attending all year! The new arena and stadium seating are beautiful! A HUGE shout-out and thank you to Queen Ashleigh Emlaw and the incredible Buzz and Toni Zunker! Thank you for another amazing year and more unforgettable memories!

I had a fantastic opportunity today to attend a mini clinic in St. Paul, OR, centered around important topics such as headshots, body positioning and appearance in front of the camera, social media, sponsorships, hair and makeup tip and tricks, wardrobe and anything else we had questions about. Alexis Goughnour was generous with her time, coordinating things and making it happen. A big thank you to Lost Locals Media for spending your afternoon sharing your time and passion with all of us! I know I learned a lot! I would also like to thank Drescher’s Daughter Salon for letting us use your cute salon today and Nobody's Girl for putting this amazing outfit together for me to model at pageant! I would also like to thank Mr. Del Leavitt for making this look possible!!!!!
I couldn't leave the valley without making a trip to one of my favorite stores Double 'H' Western Wear, Tack, Saddle & Trailer Sales . I always get excited when I can stop and shop ☺️... they have everything! Thank you again for your amazing service and kindness!

Farm-City Pro Rodeo Announces Historic Increase to $61,000 Added per Event
Record Purse Positions FCPR Among the Elite Professional Rodeos in North America
Hermiston, Ore. – The Farm-City Pro Rodeo is once again redefining professional rodeo.
The Farm-City Pro Rodeo Committee is proud to announce that the 2026 rodeo will feature $61,000 in added money in every PRCA and WPRA event, creating the largest purse in the history of the rodeo and further cementing Farm-City's reputation as one of North America's premier professional rodeos.
This historic increase makes the Farm-City Pro Rodeo the richest PRCA/WPRA rodeo in Oregon and elevates it into the Top 10 highest-paying regular-season rodeos sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Building on last year's significant purse increase, the additional payout is expected to attract the sport's top-ranked competitors from across the United States and Canada as they compete for substantial prize money and valuable world standings.
The increased added money applies to every PRCA and WPRA event, including:

• Steer Wrestling
• Team Roping
• Saddle Bronc Riding
• Tie-Down Roping
• Bull Riding
• Barrel Racing (WPRA)
• Breakaway Roping (WPRA)

The 2026 Farm-City Pro Rodeo returns August 12–15 at the Farm-City Pro Rodeo Arean at EOTEC in Hermiston.

Tonight I visited my local farmers market that takes place every Thursday evening in the downtown Hermiston area. I had fun getting to meet and chat with some hometown people, and I even found a really pretty denim outfit. I met an incredible lady, Suzi Bradshaw. She had a booth of beautiful beaded jewelry and was extremely generous and gifted me a beautiful pair of earrings. I bet nobody can guess what color...yes, PURPLE! 💜 I cannot wait to wear them and tell their story! Thank you Suzi for the beautiful gift..I am honored to have the opportunity to represent Hermiston and it's great community of people like you! Stop by and see Suzi and her booth next week, you will be glad you did!

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo in Madras. I would first like to thank Queen Nora Gates and her parents, Sue Ellen Vincent, and the whole amazing board! I had a fantastic time and felt so welcome! Throughout the week, I had the privilege of helping present 4-H ribbons and overall awards, celebrating the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of so many outstanding exhibitors. I was also honored to be asked to serve as the judge for the horse section of Master Showmanship Round Robin. During the rodeo nights, it was a complete honor to carry and present the Oregon flag and spend the night with Queen Nora pushing cows. We shared some great times and a lot of laughs!
The smoke may have thought it was going to put a damper on things, but spending time with Nora, Crooked River Roundup Queen Aubrey DeRoest, and Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon Kieran proved a different story! We rode a camel, painted rocks, did spring jumping, and laughed inside inflatable balls in a pool!
It was an incredible weekend filled with amazing people, unforgettable experiences, and memories I'll always cherish.
A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo such a wonderful event.

If you guessed I was heading to Madras, to the Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo, then you were correct! I will be spending some fun time with Queen Nora, getting to help with 4H and FFA livestock and the rodeo! I'm excited and honored to be here. We drove through a crazy thunderstorm on the way here. I pray for the protection of all the men and women fighting these fires!
