The Hive

10/15/2026

This girl stayed at the mall wayyy after the carriage turned into a pumpkin working on some party room upgrades (when I should have been doing laundry for our family trip).

Shout out to Taylor Dukes for some AMAZING branding/owner pictures at The Hive.

Come see us today 11-3. Outside is yucky from all the rain.

Ignore the hole in the wall going to space next door. 🤭 Can't wait to show everyone what I am working on for our local families!

In an ideal world- the hive would be 20k square feet. It would have cubical rooms along one wall with sound proofing and large plexiglass windows.

One of those cubicals would be equipped with sewing machine, serger, fabric cutting materials.
One cubical would have painting/drawing supplies.
One cubical would have a piano and an amp for piano/guitar lessons.
There would be other cubicals would have desks, white boards for school work, work from home parents, people needing to work on their taxes, etc.
There would be an air hockey table, some video game consoles, and an interactive eyeclick game simulator on the opposite side of the cubicals from the play room
so that bigger kids would still be in line of sight while parents worked.
The back would have a small laundromat, and a counter for the car detail shop - which is conveniently located out back. They detail your car (and carseats) while your kids play.
And then of course the front left/center is a large comfy seating area which doubles as the party area. The front right is the cafe counter which is basically a tropical smoothie cafe that offers kid food.

So if someone wants to invest a gazillion dollars and donate a 20k sq ft space to make that a reality- that would be really nice of you. 🥳🎉🤣

In the last 6 months:

- Rosie Mill Boutique left
- Hibbets left
- The Nail Salon left
- Scores closed and is re-opening SOON (thankfully)
- Dollar tree is relocating
- Bealls relocated

Answer's that aren't helpful:
- Trampoline Park
- Skating Rink
- Ninja warrior course
- Corporate Owned Box Stores or Restaurants
- Stores that require a franchise
- Something like "apartments" or "affordable housing" that would not work in a mall.
- Something like "more daycares or preschools" that require zoning and regulations that wont work for the mall.

Comments that aren't helpful:
- Anything about the condition of the mall
- Anything about the mall parking lot
- Anything about 'rumors' that other businesses are leaving.
- Anything about the carpet
- Anything bashing former or existing mall businesses
- Anything about the mall owners, staff, or managers

THIS IS A BRAINSTORMING SESSION

🛒What could we bring to the mall that you and your family would want to spend money at.
🛍️ What do you currently buy online because you cant find it locally that you would shop for locally if it was the same price or a little more expensive
🏬What is something that we need more of in this town because the demand is currently higher than the availability (that would go in a mall - not like plumber/roofing company. Those are not mall businesses).

Drop your ideas below.

If you know someone who has been wanting to open a new business or an entrepreneur that is looking for a space or to cowork- drop their name below.

WE NEED TO FILL SOME OF THESE EMPTY SPOTS. Or the rest of the mall businesses will start to dissappear too.

share in case you know someone that needs to see it.

If you have questions about being a mall tenant- message me and we can talk about the ups and downs. 🫶
