Hello,

we are about a week out from our first oprional All-State help session. Details are below:

Tuesday, June 23rd: 10AM-12PM

Thursday, June 25th: 10AM-12PM

These sessions are not required, but strongly recommended for anyone wanting to audition for KMEA All-State choir in October. You may audition regardless of if you are in Chamber or Concert. Enter through the doors nearest to the choir room!

Congratulations to the Seniors of Hopkins County Central Choirs who graduated yesterday evening! Thank you for leaving our program better then you found it and for leaving a lasting impact. Happy mother's day to all of our amazing mothers and mother figures who make so much happen! On behalf of HCCHS Choirs and Drama, we hope you feel loved and celebrated today!

The only announcement for this week is that Baccalaureate is NEXT Sunday! Time will be communicated as it is communicated with Mrs. Kelly!

Good Morning,

I am going to have the banquet area sat up for us beginning at 6PM rather than 6:30PM. You are still welcome to come regardless of what time you arrive, but I wanted to let you all know that that option is available. This is because Country Cupboard closes at 8PM and we want to be respectful of that time! As a courtesy to our hosts, I would like us to be wrapped up by 7:35PM.

Please remember, you must cover the cost of your party's meal and the venue will add on 15% gratuity to cover the rental for our event.

Awards will begin promptly at 6:45PM and will conclude around 7PM. The rest of our time together will be devoted to just that-being together!

I wouldn't want to be on this crazy musical journey with anyone other than you all and am so very thankful for what you all do to make these things happen!

Have an excellent day and we'll see you this evening between 6PM and 6:30PM!

Good Morning Family,

first of all, thank you for Friday! It was both fun and musically fulfilling. I told the kids that that is the most fun I've had putting on a show with them in a long time. Second, thank you to those Chamber Choir parents and guardians who brought their kids to the library on a Saturday. That's commitment and it's a big deal.

Now....

We have ONE MORE big concert ahead of us this week! I am tired, I know you all are tired but I also know that this will be a strong finish to the end of the year. You all have overcome so much this year and just continue to amaze me. I'm so blessed to be able to have you all in my corner and to be surrounded by so much talent. I truly cannot believe that I get paid to do what I do!

Please....ohhhh please do read these annoucements. Some of the students have said aloud in class: "I don't ever look at the weekly announcements.", and that is super uncool. These are made by me, off the clock in order to help you all and the kids. Thanks for helping us be so successful!

I can't wait for Tuesday and then to spend time celebrating the things these students have accomplished on Thursday. We'll round out the week with Chamber Students (both incoming and current) auditioning for A Charlie Brown Christmas!

Special thanks to all the parents who got their kids to and from, for Hopkins County-Madisonville Public Library and to Genealogical Society of Hopkins County for making this event happen. There's something to be said for informal, light performances that still give musicians a chance to be their best selves and perform to their highest level-but to have FUN! This is exactly what this was.

Good Morning,

first of all-thank you all so much for last night! It was a wonderful evening and would not have been possible without you 😊!

Second, all Chamber Choir students should report to the Madisonville Public Library at 10:30AM in their choir tshirts and jeans. I asked students to grab their choir binders for this morning, but if they forgot don't sweat it!

Why are we doing this? Because the Genealogical Society donated $750 to us and this is how we are giving back.

I expect that we will be done by 11:30AM, so please be at the facility to get your students no later than 11:45AM.

Recently there have been several occasions when students have been picked up an hour after an event ended and I have had to reschedule important appointments. Please know that I understand that things happen from time to time that are sometimes out of our control and I will almost always work with you! However, once this becomes a repeated issue then a decision regarding that student's involvement in extracurricular events must be made and it is so upsetting to be in that position.

I appreciate you guys being the ones who make all the plans become a reality. When I say we couldn't do what we do without you, I wholeheartedly mean it! "Thank you" isn't enough!

Today, we were walking through the plans and expectations for these events. Many students reacted as of they weren't aware of the time, place or details surrounding these performance obligations. Please be sure to read the weekly announcements posted on ParentSquare and Facebook every Sunday. Students are required to attend all 3 performances listed and they are for a grade (unless you gave communicated with me, someone is sick or have a family emergency). Please hear my heart and understand it takes us all! It is my immense pleasure to work alongside you and your families and none of it would be possible without you guys. Thank you so much!
