Corey’s Barber Shop, Covington
The Storefront Project paid a visit Corey’s Barber Shop (also known as Corey's Family Barber Shop) a Navy Veteran owned traditional barbershop in Covington.

Corey spent his younger years stationed on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland as a precision instrument technician in the Navy. It was there that he met his wife, Lindsay. Honorably discharged after 4 years, he headed to Covington, and opened up his barber shop in February of 2017.

Corey’s Barber shop has grown over the years. Chris and Josh joined the shop as barbers making this barbershop trio complete. And regulars of the shop have come to know and love Serenity (12) and Grant (6) helping with shop chores on occasion.

Service at Corey’s Barber Shop is second to none. Famous for their straight razor shaves using multiple hot towels and a client (and barber) favorite skin fade.

Corey is committed to his craft, as he been known to cut hair in the dark by head lamp with cordless tools when the power goes out.

“We pride ourselves on doing excellent work and forming relationships with our customers.”

“Recently I brought my sons in to get their haircut with Corey. It was later in the day, (last minute for us before school haircuts), Upon arrival I could tell he had been working hard all day, but he still welcomed us with a smile and warm embrace. The shop was busy which is always a good sign of good service too. His friendly spirit was refreshing, you can tell he is passionate about his business and serving others. My sons were very happy with their haircuts as was I. Overall it was a great experience. I would highly recommend to anyone. We will certainly return again!”

“Probably the best shop I've ever gone to. I drive 30 minutes to Covington about every 2 months just to get a hair cut and shave. The hot towel and straight razor is an amazing experience that you can't find everywhere, and Corey is very personable and talks to you like an old friend through the entire thing.
Everyone should visit this shop at least once.”
