The Madison County Ag Society is seeking information regarding recent damage done at the Madison County Fairgrounds.

​Our fairgrounds are a valuable space for our community, families, and youth organizations, and keeping our facilities safe, clean, and operational takes significant work and community support.

A hydrant and electrical box were damaged in our North Campground sometime between Saturday August 22nd into Sunday August 23rd. It looks like someone tried to drive out of the ditch and then backed up and ran over the hydrant and electrical box. The vehicle would have some damage.

If you or someone you know was in the area and noticed any suspicious activity, or has any information regarding this incident, please let us know, you may

HELP WANTED: PART-TIME OFFICE ASSISTANT

​Location: Madison County Fairgrounds
Position: Part-Time Administrative / Office Staff
Hours: 15–20 hours/week (Flexibility required leading up to and during Fair Week as well)

​Job Summary
​The Madison County Fairgrounds is seeking a reliable, organized individual for a part-time office position. This role provides administrative support to fairgrounds management, assists community members and vendors, and helps coordinate year-round events and annual fair preparations.

​Key Responsibilities
• ​Answer phone calls, respond to email inquiries, welcome visitors, ect.
• ​Assist with event bookings, facility rentals, and vendor contracts.
• ​Handle basic record-keeping, filing, data entry, and processing mail.
• ​Provide administrative support for fair board meetings and seasonal events.

​Qualifications
• ​High school diploma or equivalent.
• ​Strong communication and customer service skills.
• ​Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Quickbooks and basic computer software.
• ​Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak event seasons.

We want to hear for you!

Whew... now that we’ve finally had a chance to sit down and catch our breath, we just want to say WOW! What an incredible week at the Madison County Fair and Rodeo. 🎡✨

​An event like this takes a village, and we are so incredibly grateful for our amazing community, volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, and everyone who came out to make 2026 unforgettable.

​But the work never truly stops! We are already looking ahead and planning for next year to make it even better.
