Happy Tuesday, friends!

We had another incredible series of performances by Black Star Drum Line over the weekend. Thank you to all who came to enjoy their shows! 🫶

We're doing a total 180 this week and we hope you'll join us again for the Madison Ballet, presenting a wholly different form of poise and precision! 🩰 🤩

Their performances will give you an up-close experience of a ballet class warm up, barre practice, center floor work and choreography rehearsal. Their shows are extremely interactive and give littles a chance to test their ballet moves!

The 1PM performance will be ASL interpreted and livestreamed on our YouTube Channel >> https://www.youtube.com//streams

Did you know...? 🤔

Since 2008, Black Star Drum Line Performance Group has done over 600 performances in the State of Wisconsin and Madison community!

Black Star Drum Line was created and founded by award winning drummer/percussionist Joey B. Banks, to give kids in the Madison community an opportunity for creative expression through the "Percussive Arts". He incorporates diversity, respect for self and others, unity and mastery as the core elements of the model he's created for the group over his 20 years as a youth development professional in the Madison area.

Some of their past performance highlights include playing for 25,000 people at "Lifest" in 2012, opening for Rapper B.O.B. at a UW-Whitewater "Welcoming" event in 2014, and 12 "standing room" only performances at Kids In The Rotunda!

Black Star Drum Line became the first junior drum line in the NBA as the Milwaukee Bucks "Mini Beats" Drum Line where they performed at 7 home games during the 2016-2017 season. That same year they opened for the national touring act "Drum Line" at Overture Hall!

This group is comprised of some spectacularly talented students who range from as young as 7 years old, through high school and beyond. Join us tomorrow to see just how amazing they are. Maybe they'll inspire the young drummer in your home to pursue their passion for percussion! 🥁 💕
