Leading this new company are “American Idol” Season 23 finalist Gabby Samone as Dorothy, international vocalist and actor Bryan DeMond as The Wiz, “The Voice” Season 28 contestant Toni Lorene Baker as Glinda, April Renee Moye as Aunt Em/Evillene; multi-award-winning Gospel recording artist and “The Voice” Season 20 Live Playoffs contestant Jose E. Figueroa Jr. (Official Music Page) as Scarecrow, Jaelen Spellman as Tinman; and “The Voice” Season 25 Winner Asher HaVon as Lion.

Earlier this month nearly 35 participants, family members, friends and supporters gathered at Overture Center to celebrate the original songs created through our partnership with Verona Senior Center as part of Overture's My Melody program.

Now in its second year, My Melody pairs people living with dementia or other memory decline with Overture teaching artists to write and record deeply personal, original songs. This season, we welcomed Verona Senior Center back and expanded the program to include Madison Senior Center. In all, 15 participants created 11 songs, up from eight participants and five songs in its pilot last season!

Thanks to the generosity of donors who supported the Overture Forever Campaign, Overture replaced the lower-level carpeting this summer with a beautiful, high-performance flooring system!

The carpet is manufactured using recycled fishing nets recovered from the ocean, giving discarded materials a new purpose while creating a product that's built to last. Check out our blog to learn more about this project!
