We fix poor cell reception!

Now in stock, although we do sometimes have a tough time keeping them in stock!

Say hello to the biggest, baddest, most powerful mobile cell phone booster on the market, the WeBoost Drive Reach! This thing is an absolute beast!

Boost voice AND data! Carrier agnostic! You will be astounded at the places that you can get reception with this booster!

Plug and play! Everything you need is included in the box for most vehicles. We have the parts and knowledge to turn this into the ideal small-radius building amplifier for your small home or camp also! Of course, we also have awesome building amplifiers, too!

Have loved ones that drive through areas of no reception or poor reception? What says "I love you!" like the reassurance and peace of mind that they will be able to reach you if they have problems on the road? Makes an excellent Valentine's Day gift!

The Drive Reach sells for $499.99 plus tax, cash and carry - and is a snap to install. It comes with a 2-year warranty against defects and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee (some restrictions apply, be sure to ask for details). Not feeling "techy"? That's cool: we can install for a modest fee!

It will also be compatible with most non-millimeter wave 5G networks. Let's be honest for a minute here folks: If you are concerned with your current 4G coverage, you can probably forget about MM wave 5G reaching you any time in the next decade. The wavelength of MM wave 5G is going to require repeaters or towers very close to each other, as compared to today's tower infrastructure.

Think those 'other guys' are equipped with - better yet: know how to use - the latest and greatest whiz-bang tech for a quality cell phone booster install? This here's the latest addition to our fleet: the Wilson Electronics 460118 cellular meter. It's a sweetheart of a toy -er, TOOL- designed to help pinpoint location and strength of voice and data from all major providers! One more not-so-subtle reason to buy certain product locally, and not online: relevant, real world experience!

Do you own or manage a business with a high rate of public traffic in the Central Maine area? Do you have poor or no cell phone reception inside your business, but fair or OK service outside? BoonieCell is looking for businesses to help us grow, by virtue of a retail partnership!

Let us install a highly visible, small, attractive working demo display in your business and we'll provide you with exceptional cell service within a small radius of the display. You supply an electrical outlet (draws less than 0.5 amp) and floor space.

Display will be located away from sales counter, and will have an incorporated 'podium top' so users will have a small writing surface and a space to set their mobile device down. Display will have a space for displaying proprietary literature and business cards, and may not be used for the promotion of any other product or vendor. Literature will be marked so that it's evident to us what location the customer obtained it from ('promo code'). Your business will sign a non-compete contract promising that you will not sell similar product within 60 months of the removal of our display. Display must be kept within the reasonable sightline of the consumer at all times and must be accessible to BoonieCell / K Tronics' employees at any time during your normal business hours. In exchange we will offer "cost - plus" pricing (details TBD) for owner's vehicles and company vehicles, and are working on an affinity program for all employees, based on the volume of sales tied to literature coming from your business. Display and related equipment remains the property of BoonieCell (a division of K Tronics) and may be removed by the BoonieCell at any time for any or no reason at their sole discretion. Complete details are being ironed out as we write this. This offer is subject to a site survey for traffic level and existing level of cellular service. Not every respondent will be eligible. This is an installed product, and as such, may require a small amount of drilling and/or screwing, that said, we are insured professionals that have been installing this and similar products for 20 years.

This would be an exceptional offer for someone with a waiting room with marginal cell service? "Perceived wait times" are much shorter when the waiting customer is distracted or occupied!

We frequently get asked a question regarding our WeBoost and Wilson Electronics cell phone boosters "Well, do they WORK?".

That's actually kind of a silly question, because, well, I'm pretty sure we'd have been chased out of town with torch and pitchfork wielding townsfolk by now if we were selling product that didn't work, am I right?

This is partially why - at long last - we will be installing a working demo in our store on Main Street in Madison! The reception isn't horrible here, but it's not great either, being an all concrete building- usually I get 2 to 3 bars (of 6) 3G with US Cellular. I did a 'soft install' of a "WeBoost Home 4G" (MSRP $449.99, K Tronics price $409.99) in the shop yesterday afternoon, and immediately got 6 (of 6) bars of USCC 3G and 6 bars (of 6) of Verizon 4G in a lot of the building. I don't currently possess a USCC 4G device (I know, right?) so I wasn't able to conclusively test for that, although my fancy new cell meter claims that there was signal.

Watch for the announcement coming soon that the demo is officially installed, and in the meantime, if you want a demo we can temporarily lay the wires out on the floor.

Offering up a little Public Service Announcement / rant for you:

Regarding 'parasitic', 'off-brand' or 'third party billed' cellular providers, you get what you pay for. Smart talk, Flash Wireless, TracFone fit this category. I'm sure there are many, many others.

Parasitic in this context simply means that they have none of the operational infrastructure, they simply buy bulk service from the provider, divvy it up into customer-sized pieces and resell it to you. They do the billing, saving the 'real' providers time and money.

Sure! Great! You get unlimited calling and data for $50/ month! Wow! Awesome! Does it really work everywhere your 'real' provider did? In most cases NO, and here's why:

I'll use the most common example to my rural corner of Maine. Verizon Wireless (VZW) and US Cellular (USCC) have a mutual roaming agreement for the benefit of their (THEIR) post-paid customers. This means that in most instances you -as a USCC customer - can use your phone (for voice and 3G data) as long as you can communicate with a USCC tower OR a VZW tower. Depending on your phones settings, you MAY see some indication that you are roaming (or 'off-network') but in most cases you will not pay for roaming. This works mutually for customers of both providers.

So, you fell into the trap of one of the parasitic providers? The salesperson told you that it works just like a Verizon phone, right? Well, that's true...kind of. Here's the rub: That mutual roaming agreement only applies to customers of USCC and Verizon, NOT to customers being billed by the parasitic 3rd party billers! Imagine this frequently occurring scenario: Bob is a loyal VZW customer. He pays $120/ month for unlimited talk and, say, 20GB of data. Norm used to have VZW but fell into the 'save big money' trap and was told this new company could cut his bill in half.... and they DID! Bob and Norm are sitting on Bobs porch, relaxing when Norm's phone rings. He answers it and the call drops. "Huh, that's weird," Bob says, "I've got full bars here all the time!" Bob's phone shows 3G lock and 5 bars... Norms is showing 1 bar intermittently and 1X. Why does this happen? Elementary! Bob's phone is connecting to the USCC tower, Norm's phone (which doesn't have mutual roaming) is struggling to pick up a VZW tower from twice as far away!

Does this mean all parasitic phone plans are junk? NO! By all means, if it happens to work for you, in the areas you frequent, by all means: save the money! But if the phone doesn't work where you need it to, is cutting the bill in half REALLY a bargain?

Another satisfied customer! Ms C. W. from Long Pond, ME (East of Jackman).

She was less concerned with data and more concerned with voice calls. Previously, she could *sometimes* get 1 bar and make and receive calls if she was within a foot or two of a South facing window. Sometimes not.

She opted for the Wilson Electronics DB Pro 3G (Soon to become the we*boost Connect 3G) with a directional antenna, and opted to have me install. House is open concept with a large are combining an office space, a kitchen, a dining area and a living room. Several bedrooms off that area. In the large room - which is about 36 feet by 42 feet - she now gets max bars in all but the diagonally opposite corner from where we installed the inside antenna. Service in the bedrooms is down a couple of bars but still "very usable".
