Hi guys! Just wanted to inform you on an event hosted by SJP and MSA tomorrow at 6 PM in ARTS 106:

The focus of this event is to spread awareness about Native American struggle in the U.S. with parallel to Palestine. This will be a panel discussion event and Professor Elias Ortega will also be talking about Black/African American struggle in the United States as well.

Both Matt Chrisler and Professor Elias Ortega will be discussing the ongoing standing rock issue, Native American/African American struggle, incarceration, inequality, systematic discrimination, displacement, marginalization, and settler colonialism.

Matt is a graduate student in anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center. His research is on race, nation, and governance in American education/reform, and he come at issues of Indigenous politics (and their connections with other decolonization movements) through the history of American education and its connection to land politics in the American Southwest.

This event should be very educational and fun! Make sure to come out! :)
