Wowzer! What a day! I appreciated all of you coming out and supporting Helen's Daughters Studio at the Agora Art Fair on Saturday. Many of you added something to your collection and for others, this was your first HDS Handbag. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!! A "big thank you" goes to the Agora Show Director, their volunteers and their entire Team. It is an amazing fair. The day was comfortable and cloudy. No rain. 💖

Two more of our artisans who will be exhibiting at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in October won awards yesterday at the Agora Art Fair in Fitchburg. We will continue to celebrate all of our artists joining us in October! Be sure to mark your calendars and visit all of the artisans October 24th and 25th in TWO rooms filled with great hand-crafted work! The Madison Weavers Guild is the sponsor of the Fine Art & Craft Sale. They also have a booth at Art Fair On The Square. Unlike the event at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in February and October where we have many mediums represented, only members of the guild exhibit and it is a great opportunity for members to participate.

Our February show is usually the first art show of the year around the Madison, Wisconsin area. As the coordinator, I like to keep in touch with the artists who have previously participated in one of our events and so I travel to other shows nearby to visit, to see their new work, give them a heads up on the next application date and hand them postcards to give to their customers.

Today, I visited Plover, Wisconsin where many of our artists also show at the Stevens Point Festival Of the Arts - another long-running show with terrific artwork displayed.

Here are the artists we shared this year from February:
Jean's Clay Studio, Terra Domus Tile, Hendrix Ceramics, Eric Melton-White Pottery, Maria Romero Parks of Madorola, Nancy Garden Handweaving, Helen's Daughters Studio, Rogue Wovens, No Rules Jewelry, CrewlArt by Gregory Frederic, Longshadow Woodworks and Shawn Olmstead of Mulberry Woods.

I think at least one of "our" artists has won "Best Of Show" at Stevens Point Festival of the Arts in past years and this year was no different! Congratulations to Maria Romero Parks of Madorola!
