We can't wait to welcome another wonderful instructor to our staff, Ms. Morgan! Catch Ms. Morgan out at our Sun Prairie location teaching ballet! We're looking forward to having her on our Monona Academy of Dance team!

Morgan Schimke began dancing at the age of three and trained in a variety of styles while dancing with the performance and competition company at Lake Shore Dance in Port Washington, WI. Throughout her training, Morgan developed a passion for assisting and teaching dance classes.

Morgan continued dancing throughout college while attending the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, where she earned her BBA in Human Resource Management. While in school, Morgan was an active member of Concert Dance Company. She performed in semester showcases, choreographed original pieces, and served as Technical Director and later as President during her senior year, leading a company of 30 dancers. Morgan is super excited to get back in the studio and help dancers build their confidence and find their own joy in dance.

Outside of the studio, Morgan works full-time as an HR Business Partner for a manufacturer in the greater Madison area.

We're giving a warm welcome to one of our newest instructors, Ms. Charlotte! We are looking forward to having her on the Monona Academy of Dance team teaching ballet!

Charlotte Gularson, originally from Maryland, is a choreographer and teacher, currently dancing with Kanopy Dance. She began dancing at Hope Garden Ballet Academy and grew up performing in musicals, ballets, plays, and anything else she could. Charlotte began her professional career as a trainee with Cincinnati Ballet in 2022, where she performed with the main company in Victoria Morgan’s The Nutcracker and Don Quixote. She later joined the Studio Training Company at Texas Ballet Theater, performing in iconic productions including Ben Stevenson’s Swan Lake, Trey McIntyre’s Peter Pan, and Tim O’Keefe’s Giselle. Most recently, Charlotte founded Riverworks Dance Collective in Poolesville, Maryland, a choreographic workshop and showcase, created in collaboration with Hope Garden Children’s Ballet Theater, focused on supporting emerging voices and new work.

We're back and we're leaping into our 79th year!

Today is the first day of our 2026-2027 academic year and we're so excited to welcome the dancers back into the studios! It's been a busy summer, but now we're back to regularly scheduled classes.

Join us for Fall Adult Classes!

We hope to see you in the studio this fall to learn a new dance style, meet other adults, and get moving! We have options in ballet, tap, and jazz! Whether you are a beginner or returning to dance after awhile, we look forward to welcoming you in. These classes are also open to teens looking to gain a basic understanding (open to ages 13 and up). Adult classes available at our Madison and Sun Prairie location!

Back to school and back to the studio!

Join us for the 2026-2027 Academic Year! Classes begin the week of August 24 at our Madison location and Sun Prairie location. We have classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern, with options available for ages 3 and up!

Last week we closed our summer programming with our Summer Intensive students’ showcase! The dancers had the opportunity to explore several different dance styles over the last month and a half and few that they shared at the showcase included: ballet variations, musical theater, character, lyrical, student choreography, jazz, tap, and hip hop. Other class styles they explored: Pilates, ballroom, acro, modern, contemporary, improvisation, pointe and pre-pointe, and conditioning!

Dancers, wonderful work this summer! Your growth was evident in class and at the showcase from your amazing efforts. We can’t wait to see more of that in the school year! Congrats on an amazing summer! Thank you to all our instructors and guest instructors this summer, your time and attention helped these dancers immensely!

We are finishing up our 5 Week Summer Intensive today! We’re so grateful for all the guest instructors, hard work from the dancers, and fun times we’ve had this summer. We’ll finish with an end of summer showcase with friends and family.

Before we know it, it’ll be time for rehearsals! Congrats on a summer of growth, dancers!
