After years of leading Monkey Business Institute with heart, creativity, and an alarming willingness to commit to a bit, Brad Knight is officially passing the torch to longtime performer, teacher, director, and improv legend Sheila Robertson.
If you’ve been around MBI for more than five minutes, this probably doesn’t surprise you.
Sheila has spent more than 20 years helping shape MBI into the weird, welcoming, joy-filled community it is today teaching classes, creating shows, coaching performers, and making thousands of people laugh along the way.
She’s performed in 4,000+ live shows, co-created The Music Department and Yes Ma’am, taught everyone from first-time improvisers to healthcare professionals, and somehow still has the energy to say “Yes, and” to new adventures.
“MBI’s improv community is so special, fun, weird, and talented. I’m so excited to find new ways to show off our performers, follow the fun, and keep finding ways to say ‘Yes, and.’”
— Sheila Robertson
Brad will still be teaching and performing with MBI, and Sheila is ready to help us keep growing with more shows, more classes, more workshops, and more joyful chaos.
Come see what’s next 💛
