The Capitol Social's November 2020 Bachata/Salsa class information is up! We will meet every Monday (beginner) and Friday (intermediate) from 6-8pm at Kanopy Dance Company on State St.

We're operating at a very limited capacity and students must register with a partner. Properly-worn masks are required at all times and we have plenty of room for social distancing between couples. March dance class information for The Capitol Social has been out for a bit now, but this is a reminder that the early bird rate ends this Friday! Sign up for the 2 class/week plan with a friend to take $10 off (per person). After Friday, all plans will be full price 💃🏻🕺🏻

If you are a high school, undergrad, or grad student, there is also pricing available for you. Although the classes are already extremely affordable, we want to make it even more accessible for students to learn 🙏🏽

-Mondays are for our intermediate/advanced Salsa On 2 & Mambo workshop (2 hour class) from 7:30-9:30pm

-Tuesdays are our Bachata (6pm) and Salsa On 1 (7pm) beginner/advanced beginner classes

-All monthly class plans include a 1-hour practice/review session on Mondays from 6:30-7:30pm at no extra charge

The Capitol Social's February dance lesson series will go from February 3-25. Reserve a spot before January 27 to take advantage of the early bird discounts (and combining them with any partner/student discounts as well)! Here's what we have available:

-Mondays 7:30pm-9:30pm: Intermediate Salsa On 2 / Mambo Lab workshop series. This is a 2-hour weekly workshop where we take ample time to go through strong foundations (posture, timing, movement, connection, and some styling) before introducing and executing partnering technique in the 2nd hour 💪🏽

-Tuesdays 6-8pm: Bachata (1st hour) and Salsa On 1 (2nd hour) for Beginners / Experienced Beginners. These classes focus on building a repertoire of techniques as quickly as possible in a fun environment while also putting a strong focus on foundations for successful social dancing 🤗

-Bonus Monday practice 6:30pm-7:30pm: This time slot is reserved for students that sign up for a monthly series. Are you completely new to Latin dance? Don't know what "Salsa On 2" is? Want to sharpen up your moves from a previous week? This time slot is perfect for all of those things! It's included at no additional cost with a monthly pass.

The January 2020 dance lesson series with The Capitol Social begins *today*! We're starting the week off with Intermediate Salsa On 2 every Monday from 7:30-9:30pm at Kanopy Dance Company! 🎵

We'll spend the first hour going through the necessary skills and details (timing, posture, frame, floor craft, and connection) before really drilling the partnering technique in the second hour. There will be no Intermediate Bachata class until further notice; this way we can really focus on advancing our Salsa On 2 skills 💪🏽😎

Tuesdays from 6-8pm are reserved for our Beginner / Beginner II Bachata & Salsa On 1 students. There are still a few spots left for this session, so message me to reserve yours!

The Capitol Social's December class information is now up! Just for the holidays, we've reduced our class pricing to make our classes more accessible in a short-yet-accelerated schedule 😌.

We start *tomorrow* Sunday, December 1 with the 5-hour intensive Salsa On 2 course. Then we follow a similar schedule for the next two Mondays and Tuesdays, while adding a 6:30pm Monday slot for our Salsa students that are close to attaining Intermediate level.

If you can only make certain classes from the intensive, per-class drop-in pricing will apply.

There will be no classes the week of December 16. The last two weeks in December will be reserved for special discounts on private lessons as well as other special workshops.

We have a limit of 10 leads and 10 follows for each class (regardless of gender). Please see flyer for pricing and payment info and if you'd like to pair up with someone, I can add you to our active student group chat to coordinate with other students! 😎
