TIME CHANGE!
Our time to dance will now be at 11:00am in the middle of downtown Mayodan. Please meet at Basecamp by 10:45. We hope the weather will hold off long enough for a great last festival performance of the season!! Come out and support local talent and local businesses!
🌾 WHAT THE HAY?! We’re PIVOTING, NOT QUITTING! 🌾
☀️🌧️ RAIN OR SHINE — WE’RE GIVING IT OUR BEST SHOT!
If there’s one thing you learn as a business owner, it’s that sometimes you have to PIVOT! And this weekend is a prime example!
Countless hours of planning, preparation, and hard work have gone into making the What the Hay Festival a great day for Mayodan. While Mother Nature may have other ideas, we’re determined to make the most of it!
HERE’S THE PLAN AS OF RIGHT NOW:
🛍️ DOWNTOWN VENDORS & BUSINESSES: Our downtown businesses will be OPEN, and vendors will be set up at their discretion. We plan to keep as much of the festival going for as long as the weather safely allows!
🎈 KIDS’ AREA: We’re still planning to have the inflatables and children’s activities available, weather permitting!
🗳️ MAYODAN HOTEL: Voting will still take place inside the Mayodan Hotel!
🎶 DAYTIME MUSIC: We’ll have music throughout the day! Some of our scheduled live entertainment may need to be adjusted to accommodate the weather.
🎸 STRAIGHT SHOT & THE TONEZ — MOVING INDOORS! 🎤
We’re bringing BOTH bands to the Madison-Mayodan Recreation Center!

🎤 THE TONEZ — 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Get ready for an afternoon and evening of GREAT live music as we keep the celebration going indoors!

Our local businesses, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers have invested so much into this event. A little rain doesn’t change how much they deserve our support!
Come downtown, visit the shops, support the vendors who are able to participate, grab something to eat, and help us make the best of whatever the day brings.
We’re watching the forecast closely and will continue making adjustments as necessary. PLEASE FOLLOW OUR PAGE AND CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR UPDATES!
