The Madison Print Club is an organization with 120 members with a mission to promote the development and appreciation of prints, printmaking and print collecting in the Madison, Wisconsin community. Haig, who had been a member of the Cleveland Print Club since 1945, suggested many Madison people might be interested in a similar club. Hendon, then Director of the Madison Art Center, agreed and cont

acted prospective members for a meeting the following week. Enthusiasm for a Madison print club spread quickly at the first meeting. There are now 120 members of the Madison Print Club. The four purposes of membership are:
-Sponsoring educational activities related to prints, printmaking and print collecting.
-Sponsoring exhibitions of prints and printmaking.
-Adding to the Madison Art Center’s print collection.
-Commissioning an annual presentation print to provide members with examples of printmaking techniques and artistry.
