So... after three months in the Mendalam, here are books deposited in three new reading rooms, Taman Baca, in local communities (Lung Miting, Padua, Pagung), in hard copy, and in two of those places, also in computers. Hard copies made with the help of donations by Yohanes Sumadi, Cecilia Jeno, me and Tus Oevaang Mering, and computers donated by Juaan and Fransiskus Diaan, with one promised still by Kebing: to all of these and to Prof. Aloy Mering, many thanks! And heartfelt thanks also to Paran Lii' and Alel Sano and to Angelika Hulo, without whose encouragement and advice and constant help nothing of this would have been possible. Let's hope for and help the growth of these little centers of Kayan culture, the harvest of so many long years of shared labor.
