KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Hundreds of construction projects are planned across the state this year and we're here to help you stay safe no matter where this holiday weekend or summer travel may take you. WisDOT reminds drivers to plan ahead and be patient on Wisconsin roads and in work zones across the state.
Peak travel times are expected from 12-9 p.m. Thursday (May 21), 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday (May 22), and from 12-5 p.m. Monday, May 25. Most road construction will pause over the holiday weekend to open as many lanes as possible – but drivers may still see some activity throughout the state. We encourage you to make 511 Wisconsin part of any travel plans, online or using the mobile app. At 511wi.gov, you can view live traffic cameras, traffic conditions, construction areas, weather radar, incidents, and more. https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/travel/511/summer-fun.aspx
Please pay attention, slow down and be distraction free in work zones – every driver makes a difference!
