The Jerry Awards, South-Central Wisconsin’s High School Musical Awards program, encourages, recognizes and honors excellence in high school musical theater. Educators and industry professionals review productions at nearly 100 high schools in 30+ counties and provide valuable feedback. Applications for the ’26/’27 Spotlight Middle School Musical Theatre Program are now open!

Designed for schools already producing musicals, the Spotlight program inspires, educates and connects middle school students and teachers with theatre professionals, offering a deeper understanding of the many facets of musical theatre.

Applications for the 2026/2027 school year are NOW open!

As our program continues to grow, applications and availability for show weekends are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Preliminary application deadline is October 1st, 2026. Those received after October 1st will be processed based on reviewer availability.

The Grand Theater and Overture's Jerry Awards are excited to announce audition dates for the 2026/2027 Central Jerry Ensemble!

Auditions will be held at the Wausau Conservatory of Music from 1:00pm - 5:00pm Sunday, August 30th and Sunday, September 13th.

The Central Wisconsin Jerry Ensemble is the premier performance group representing Overture Center's Jerry Awards in the North Central region of the state, featuring 9th-12th students from participating schools and theater organizations.
