Hey y’all, after getting together as a group and talking about it, we made the difficult decision to cancel the Story Slam scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026.
As Madison continues to grieve following the fatal police shooting of Corey Ruiz on July 22, we think it’s clear this is a time for listening, reflection, and creating space to process together.
For those seeking opportunities for dialogue and support, we encourage connecting with organizations providing leadership and resources, including Freedom Inc., Urban Triage, and Nehemiah. We also encourage folks to stop by Mother Fool's to show your support; they are gracious hosts, and we appreciate their support in this decision.
