“Women are Not Objects” This is a silkscreen print I did in May.
In the center is a woman posing on a pedestal. At the bottom are various figures. Taking photos of her, yelling at her, praising her, shaming her. Behind her is text that are things that have been said about or to women.

I am ashamed to live in a country that is regressing to the idea that women shouldn’t be allowed to make decisions regarding their own bodies.
Abortion is health care and in some cases can be the only procedure that will save a woman’s life. Pro-Choice is pro life.
The Supreme Court ignored the fact that 67% of the country did not want this.
Justice Clarence Thomas has now said the Supreme Court must revisit and overrule past decisions that had legalized the right to obtain contraception, the right to same-sex intimacy and the right to same-sex marriage.
I created this poster inspired by 50’s ads because apparently we are returning to that time in our country’s history.
