How do you keep your past finished projects alive? I enjoyed creating these slides, retelling the design process we’ve done using combinations of In-Design, Photoshop, and revisiting AutoCAD drawings to put all these together. So worth it. (these are screenshots, original file is PDF)

fell in-love with the hospitality design by canopy by hilton soma sf. the interior space greets its’ guests with the warmth of dim lights, sheens through the velvet upholstery, balanced with leather chairs, wooden designed flooring, large chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings, tall drapes creates a dramatic texture filling the large walls. The details of accessories and art pieces.. surely has great stories of how well thought the design intentions are for. Dedicated to provide enjoyment for each guests and staff members who walks in— certainly it feels so special when visiting this hotel. We came for the rooftop bar, but it exceeded our expectations!

Hiiii!! how’s your long Labor Day weekend? My weekend has been an amazing time with family and friends! celebrating my mom’s 64th Birthday, with great filipino food served by my dear sister and friends, watching my little one enjoy her time away from our regular routine, and what’s a filipino family getaway without a singalong karaoke? I mean, my dad definitely took this part like it’s his own concert, I love it!! In the middle of all this, my husband were able to take a short video clip of me arranging this simple beautiful fresh rose mary as our center piece. Having long weekend leaves me recharged and ready to get back to work on Tuesday morning. So how has your plans going?

California!!!! WE GOT THIS! I know this past couple of weeks has been really crazy and beyond words to express the devastation its facing...covid, blm, protests, lockdown, thunders to fire spreading everywhere, I know there are beautifully designed homes and landmarks that burned, and all these hurts to just even imagine it, but as long as you’re moving, kicking, and or just at least breathing (through your 😷), where there’s Life there’s Hope! THAT’S WHAT MATTERS, I know it could be stressful but let’s take one step at a time, keep strong, and stay safe... Speaking of Hope, these roses represent IT, each flower were given to the hands of young survivors of human trafficking at a shelter and made them smile :) How are you reminded or reminding someone that there’s hope?

They say the only constant in life is change, right? When I started in the industry most days I worked in a cubicle infront of a computer drafting for 8 hours. These days I’m finding I need to be productive in an environment where I am surrounded by nature, where there’s sun and plants, speaking of, I am loving the Natural State collection by this brand. Anyone feeling the weight of the world today? Something about what we’ve all been going through has really made me take stock of the few things in life that are truly most important to me. Moments of quiet calm amidst all the anxiety are right at the top of my list. Lately I’ve been finding those moments during my quiet time alone, praying and hoping for the best to come. This inspirational interior gives me a serene peaceful vibe, there's something about the colors of nature that brings calmness in our being, even though we have no control in the extent of global issues, we have the control to create an environment that signals our body that things will be okay. What about you, friend?

What’s your favorite outdoor activity? As the weather is warming up here in San Francisco, I’m LOVING the outdoor option on window-shopping, of course furniture, plus the showrooms are by appointments only due to Covid, so to be able to see through the glass window helps. It is so refreshing to spend time in the great outdoors to clear my mind, while getting some design inspirations. How are you spending your summer days?

’s your biggest motivator?
My first introduction to interior design was when I started drawing layout and floorplans of our home, I was motivated out of curiosity on how rooms were programmed by it’s locations, I was 8 years old and had no idea I was discovering a profession I will be mastering. But every day I also wake up motivated by learning people’s design needs and finding how I can create solutions to elevate their lifestyle. Being in the design industry, I’ve been able to learn so many valuable lesson that only experience can teach and CURIOSITY is my driving motivator which keeps me going.. Where does your passion take you?

How different are you from your kid self? When I was little my dream home was a treehouse full of snacks, with a nice view where I could feel the fresh warm breeze in the tropical, Philippines. I would say, it is still my dream, but I have been really thinking about designing my next future home with beautiful craftsmanships of gifted artists from around the world.
