A one-week theater intensive where we put together a fully staged musical. Our staff makes sure every student is featured. Great opportunity for all skill levels

Introducing the Directors of our Summer Mainstage Season

TREVOR BELT will be directing ALMOST HEAVEN: THE MUSIC OF JOHN JOHN DENVER. MRT audiences will remember Trevor from seeing him onstage as Daddy Warbucks in “Annie” as well as in “The Nerd,” “Lucky Stiff,” and “Annie Get Your Gun.” We are so excited to see Trevors work from the other side of the table as he directs his first show with us this summer.

BRANDON MCSHAFFREY will be directing YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. This marks Brandon’s 20th year returning to Maples Rep. MRT audiences have seen his productions of “ Sweet Charity,” “Chicago,” “The Best Little Wh******se in Texas,” “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “Of Mice and Men,” and last year’s summer comedy “Clue: Onstage.”

PETER REYNOLDS will be directing WAIT UNTIL DARK. Peter has been directing at Maples Rep for decades. MRT Audiences have seen his production of “A Flea in Her Ear,” “Butterflies are Free, “ “The Drowsy Chaperone,” “Dearly Departed” and “Steel Magnolias”

Join us for our first Kid’s Jam session THIS Wednesday, June 3rd, from 10am-12pm

Kid’s Jam is theatre for our littlest theatre goers- perfect for kids ages 3-7 who love to wiggle, giggle, and play pretend!

This session is Superhero and Villains themed! Soon-to-be heroes will make their own masks, traverse across regions of lava, and learn all about what it means to be a superhero

(P.S. a certain friendly neighborhood spider may make an appearance)
