The brainchild of Multi-Grammy® nominated drummer/percussionist, Steve Moretti and renowned pops conductor and Grammy® award winning arranger Matt Catingub, Macon Pops is an innovative, high energy, world class orchestra event bringing together the most talented studio and orchestral musicians from around the southeast and across the country. What comes to mind when you think of the word orchestra

? If images of expensive tuxes, tight-lipped audiences, and conservative, structured performances float through your brain, let us change your outlook. As Hawkins Arena is transformed into a top-shelf nightclub, patrons will be encouraged to fill the dance floor, indulge in fabulous food and drinks, and enjoy lively music – all at an orchestra event. Y’all, THANK YOU. Queens of Country was everything, and then some 🤠✨

What a way to wrap up Macon Pops’ Season 13. The amphitheater was glowing, the crowd was rowdy (in the best way!), and the music absolutely did not miss…even if the weather had other plans 😅 To everyone who stuck it out with us: YOU are our people! We have so many people to thank for this special night and this wonderful season…❤️

🎶 Ethan Hamlin set the mood perfectly, and Nicole Zuraitis, Erin Kirby, and Nicole Croteau brought the house down. (What a lineup of powerhouse women!!)

Everything Gelato and Fall Line Brewing Co. kept us cool and in good spirits, and Piedmont Macon North made our free popsicles possible; thank you! And a huge shoutout to OrthoGeorgia for providing our Kids Zone; the littlest Pops fans had the country concert of their dreams! 🎉

As always, thanks to the Museum of Arts and Sciences for hosting us in their beautiful outdoor space 🙌 Thanks to Tattnall Square Academy for lending us some fabulous country-queen decor, and Heath L Gove for bringing his gorgeous red pickup truck to highlight the concert entrance - truly something out of a country music video!

Well, the rain had its own plans tonight, but we’re so grateful for everyone who came out to the Museum of Arts and Sciences, weathered the uncertainty with us, and got to experience some truly incredible music before the lightning made the call. There is nothing quite like a stage full of women and powerful musical performances, celebrating the Queens of Country…tonight was proof of that. What a season this has been; thank y’all for being part of it 🎶❤️

If you’ve ever been in a room with Stacy Lane, you already know…she IS the energy. The laughter. The one who makes every gathering feel like a celebration 🎉

So it only makes sense that she found her people at Macon Pops.

Stacy LOVES this city. She loves live music. And she loves this organization with her whole heart.

What you might not see is everything that happens before the curtain goes up: the organizing, the planning, the fundraising, the late-night brainstorming…because Stacy is quietly (okay, maybe not that quietly 😄) making it all possible behind the scenes. As our Board President, she leads with as much joy as she does dedication, and that combination is rare.

Today we get to celebrate the woman who works harder than anyone in the room AND is somehow still the last one to leave the dance floor.
