Thank you so much for all the love and support you showed Green Light Gallery this weekend! I could not have asked for a better evening with such supportive and loving friends! It was a great night and an honor to exhibit and Sophia Tang’s work along with mine. The exhibit will be up the entire month and people are welcome to take any piece they purchase that day. We have lots of prints left and you can also shop online. Free delivery in Macon, or we can ship anywhere.

It is with a heavy heart and so much gratitude to the community that I am announcing the closing of Green Light Gallery on June 30th. I have loved being a part of downtown Macon’s art community for over 10 years. Thank you to everyone who has supported not just this gallery, but all the other local artists in Macon. I truly hope downtown Macon continues to thrive as it has and deserves. This weekend will be my last opening, so if you would like to buy some local original art of both Macon historic icons and beyond, please stop by. Friday and Saturday hours are 11:00-2, 4-8. You can always call and make an appointment if these hours don’t work for you. We will be vamping up our Green Light Gallery website, so please stay tuned. Our book will be announced and published late summer if you’d like to get on the pre-order list, please email me at [email protected]. Very excited about future endeavors, so please stay tuned on social media. My number is 478-957-9079. Thank you so much for all of the support over the years.

WALTER ELLIOTT! First Friday! Tonight from 5:00-8:00. Artist talk at 5:30.

Walter Elliott, a native of Macon, has been passionate about art since his first set of crayons. He holds a degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Mercer University. His pursuit of professional photography naturally led to concentration in architectural, commercial and industrial fields. This technical focus has combined with a keen awareness of beauty and a love of architecture, making possible his development of photography as art.

Mr. Elliott has been widely published and is currently working on his fifth book. He has three lovely daughters and a family that continues to grow and flourish.

Three of his Macon books will be available to purchase, and the artist will be here to sign them.

Green Light Gallery is excited to announce Bobby Huellemeier as the Featured Artist for the Month of March beginning this First Friday, March 7th, 5:00-8:00. Artist talk will begin at 5:30. 452 First Street. (478)957-9079

Bobby Huellemeier has rediscovered his love for drawing, returning to the roots of his artistic journey. His sketches, raw and inspired, define an evolving artist with an insatiable curiosity. Bobby’s life has been filled with rich experiences. As a chef aboard private rail cars, he brought elegance and flavor to the tables of the fortunate few that dined and traveled under his care. His years as a chef, combining precision with creativity, shaped his approach to life and to art - every detail mattered and beauty was found in the craft.
Bobby’s creations in several mediums are as much a reflection of his modest nature as they are of his immense skill. He approacheshis work with unmatched humility, envisioning himself not as a celebrated artisan, but as someone fortunate to have the ability to express his love for real craftsmanship. He is a master of several crafts, weaving creativity into every aspect of his life. With an intense passion for sculpting and for woodworking, he transforms simple material into extraordinary works of art, each piece imbued with his vision and with his soul.
Bobby is a former resident of Macon now living on Lake Guntersville in Alabama. He attended Mt. DeSales Academy after which he pursued a degree in art from Mercer University which granted him a baseball scholarship. He now divides his time between the two cities.

Please stop by the wonderful Loome restaurant, the reckon room, the lobby, the gym, and the rooftop bar to see what we’ve been collaborating on for some time now! More and more to come!
