🎓 2026 Charles Henry Douglass Scholarship Scholar Spotlight: E'Darrius Davis

Join us in recognizing E'Darrius Davis, the Fourth Highest Scoring Recipient of the 2026 Charles Henry Douglass Scholarship!

A graduate of Peach County High School (Peach County), E'Darrius will continue his education at Fort Valley State University. His essay, "Choose an artist of any discipline and describe how their work influences or motivates you as a young adult," highlighted the importance of artistic expression and the influence of creative voices on the next generation. His thoughtful essay and engaging presentation earned him recognition as one of this year's outstanding scholars.

Please join us in celebrating Taliyah Burnette, the Third Highest Scoring Recipient of the 2026 Charles Henry Douglass Scholarship!

A graduate of Rutland High School (Bibb County), Taliyah will begin the next chapter of her educational journey at Savannah State University. Her essay, "What Impact Has African American Art Had on Society?", explored the lasting influence of Black artists in shaping culture, inspiring change, and preserving history. Congratulations to Thomas Rutland, the Second Highest Scoring Recipient of the 2026 Charles Henry Douglass Scholarship!

A graduate of Central Fine Arts Magnet High School (Bibb County), Thomas will continue his education at Florida A&M University (FAMU). His essay, "Choose an Artist of Any Discipline and Describe How Their Work Influences or Motivates You as a Young Adult," reflected on the profound impact artists have in inspiring creativity, purpose, and perseverance.
