🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM ESCAPE MJ’S 🚨

This is honestly not an easy post to make…

After a lot of conversations, late nights, and going back and forth, we’ve made the difficult decision that Escape MJ’s will be relocating out of Macomb later this year.

This community has supported us from day one, and we truly don’t take that lightly. From our very first bookings to watching so many of you come back again and again… it’s meant more than you know.

Unfortunately, with everything changing and opportunities presenting themselves in a larger market, we feel like this is the direction we have to go to continue growing.

We’ll be sharing more details soon, including timelines and what this means moving forward.

For now, we just want to say… thank you ❤️

With spring officially here and the spring cleaning has begun, we thought we would reach out. We’re collecting certain items for a project we’re working on!
Think things that crack, shatter, and don’t survive impact.

📺 Electronics: TVs, computers, printers, keyboards, phones
🍽️ Glass & Ceramics: Plates, bottles, vases, jars, anything breakable
🪑 Furniture: Small desks, wood chairs
🖨️ Office Stuff: Printers, keyboards, outdated equipment
💿 Misc: CDs, decorative items,
⛔️We can not take: the old time box tube/projection/plasma tvs

‼️Small business reality check.‼️

When we opened Escape MJ’s, I had two main goals: Keep it affordable for Macomb and donate to animals and kids. Most escape rooms are around $40 per person.
We have held the line at $25 because we wanted families, friends, and WIU students to be able to actually enjoy it without breaking the bank.
But the reality of running a small business is… costs keep climbing.
Our electric bill alone runs $300–$500 a month in the winter. So after holding the line as long as we could, we have to make a small adjustment.
Escape MJ’s will now be $30 per person.
We will be still one of the most affordable escape rooms around, and we promise we’ll keep working to make it worth every dollar.
The exciting part is what’s coming next:

“The Basement” — our newest escape room — will be ready within the next couple of weeks. And shortly after that, we’ll be opening a small pilot Rage Room to test out something we think is going to be a very fun new addition.
