Once upon a time I was in a not so good place financially with 2 kids to feed and clothe, I had an angel show up and gave me some money for groceries to get through til payday. That was nearly 20 years ago and I promised to one day pay it forward. I've made it a mission of mine to do so since then. Now I need your help this time! There are so many folks affected by the federal furloughs and now losing the SNAP benefits for so many next week, our wonderful local food pantries can only do so much. I want to be able to help fill that gap for those in need. I will be starting an area inside the store this week to fill with non perishable food items. I have a start, but could definitely use any donations of food or grocery gift cards etc to fill the shelves. Food may be dropped off during business hours, or call if other times are needed. For those that may need a little assistance in your food budget, please stop in at 113 East Oak St Sparta, or call the store phone at 608-487-7864. Thanks in advance for helping me pay it forward.
