Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather on this Sunday! New traditional cotton loops in Spectrum colors. Great loops overall. They work up nicely and made 1 -18 peg traditional and 5- 21 peg traditionals on my custom loom.

Did you know the Bias Weave has been around for a very, very long time. Fun research! Still playing with a Double Bias Weave. Far left was completed on my 21 x 21 traditional peg/hook loom from "Looms from Terri". It was a bias plain weave but doubled the pro loops and then added embellishment with more loops. The one in the Middle was also completed on the 21 x 21 loom using pro loops, however I made use of a lot of floats which decreased the overall completed size. I also used Chris from "Simple Twist Studio's" technique from the 4 corner weave that was gifted to me by dear Karen Broiles D'Angelo. The one on the right was done on the red traditional 18 x 18 loom. I doubled the pro loops but it is a bit tricky keeping them on the loom. Much smaller than the other two. Hope this gives everyone some "rabbit"🐰🐇🐰 ideas to play with the Bias Weaves.

One more Double Bias Weave on this beautiful evening in Southern Indiana. Great Sunset as I try a new way using embellishment on my 21 x 21 peg/hook loom to finish off the weave instead of cutting loops that go through the middle diagonals. Pro loops of FL Autumn and Heathered Pine along with Acorns and Twigs Dark Green.

"Bias Weave" further experimentation. Doubling the loops to give the finished weave a thicker finished texture. Completed on my 21x 21 peg traditional loom. The peg/hooks give the weave stability. Takes a little more time to take the edge of the trivet off. The loops do not "pop off" on their own, but so worth the thickness on this bias weave. You have to use your crochet hook. FL pro loops of chocolate, willow,and leaf. 6 3/4" square finished.

Variation of 3x3 Quad Split Loop Design. Completed on my 29x29 peg/hook loom. A weaving friend gave me a large amount of Pro loops in lots of rich, earthtone colors. So Blessed. Perfect for creating a "Late Fall Ombre Vibes", Rick Rack Edge trivet. FL colors of Chocolate, Cayenne, Spice, Ochre, Leaf, Autumn, and Flax. Infused with some Terri Split Loop Twists.Showing front and Back.
