You cant see them... but you can hear the call of the Sandhill Cranes. A couple flew across the field and landed in the swamp this morning.
A true sign that the weather is changing!
Next week.... its going to be cooling down, and the wildlife will be in full gathering, feeding, and prepping for the winter.

"One recent class focused on modern homestead apothecary, where local homesteader Emily Tingue taught participants about herbs and traditional remedies.

The Roots of Elma Homesteading series is funded by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation.

The series has drawn more interest than library officials expected."... Jiovanni Leiggi, Channel 7 news WKBW

Had the most excellent Apothecary class at the Elma Library tonight!
Very excited to have been asked to lecture about medicinal herbs, self sustainability and homesteading with attendees for the next 2 Wednesday nights...funded by a grant that the library received 😀
Watch for a quick interview with channel 7 news WKBW... it was very nice that they came to see what the workshops are about and the Lucky Day Homestead story.
