Hoping someone can help. We had friends visiting from PA during the festival. They saw a vendor, somewhere near where the shuttle dropped them off on Colonial Way. It was a mother and daughter. The mother was selling beaded stuff and zipper pulls, the daughter was selling lemonade. If anyone knows who this was, I would love to get in touch with her...my friend from PA is hoping to purchase something from her. Thanks!

The Machias Wild Blueberry Festival was honored last evening by receiving the first ever “Make Here Better” award from the town of Machias. This award was created to honor Bill Kitchen, whose motto was “make here better” when he was the Machias Town Manager. The certificate is as colorful as Bill was, and even has his famous shades in the design. The festival was recognized for working to “make here better” for the past 50 years. Thank you Machias!
