Childhood Landscape (left), Windy (4 Cows) Tide Mill Farm (right) are included in our new exhibit: SHARON YATES CHILDHOOD PAINTINGS AND CURRENT WORK, now through December 20. Galleries are open 1-4 Monday - Friday. We will be closed for Fall break October 13 and 14, and Thanksgiving break November 26 through 28.

Nina Jerome's painting exhibition, Quarry Story, will be up from now until September 24th. Galleries are open during the summer Monday through Friday 12:30 - 4:30pm.

UMM Visual Art Faculty opening...Audra Christie, Jennie Hahn, Lauren Luloff, Leslie Bowman, and Bernie Vinzani. The show ends March 28. Hours are MTWF 1-4:30pm and W 1-3pm.

The UMM Art Galleries will be open while I am on sabbatical this semester to on campus students, faculty, and staff. Social distancing and masks are required. The hours are 11-5 Monday through Friday.
You might find this of interest. Two artists in our collection have had their work included on U.S. Postage stamps. John Marin's Sunset, Maine Coast was issued in 2013 as part of the Modern Art in America series, and Robert Indiana's well known LOVE stamp appeared in 1973. The large screen prints located in our library are by Robert Indiana.
Copyrights exist for U.S. stamps, so I won't image them here, but you can look them up if you want to. You can even collect them or use them if you still send things by post.
