Patriarch of Jerusalem urges Protection for Middle East Christians ✝️
Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem met with US President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss the growing challenges facing Christian communities across the Middle East and the Holy Land.
During the meeting on the 4th of June, the Patriarch emphasized the urgent need to protect Christians in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Lebanon, Syria, and throughout the region, where many communities continue to face instability, insecurity, and pressure to leave their ancestral homelands.
“Safeguarding religious freedom and maintaining open access to the Holy Land is more than a spiritual matter; it is a prerequisite for stability, coexistence, and peace.”
The Patriarch also stressed that preserving the Christian presence in the lands where Christianity was born remains essential not only for the Church, but for the future of the entire region.
As one of the world’s oldest Christian institutions, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem continues its historic mission of protecting the Holy Sites and serving the faithful throughout the Holy Land.
Pray for the Christians of the Middle East.
Pray for peace in the Holy Land. ☦️
