The Black Box is involved with creating a diverse array of entertaining and educational programs that spark imagination, foster innovation and inspire action. The 180-seat theater, located on the Edmonds College campus, offers full service support for all types of events including musicals, plays, opera, dance, music events and concerts.

Stage Manager- $2000 stipend
Fight and Intimacy Consultant/ Choreographer - $1500 stipend

Ride the Cyclone by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell
April 1st - May 13th, 2027*
Musical Director - $2000 stipend
Stage Manager - $2000 stipend
Choreographer - $2000 stipend
Intimacy Coordinator - $1000 stipend
Sound & Projection Designer - $1000 stipend
Voice Coach - $1125 stipend (15 hours)

*Some planning meetings will occur before the start date

Framed by Homer’s The Odyssey, Anon(ymous) reimagines the classic epic as a modern-day survival story of a young refugee searching for his mother. As he navigates a chaotic and unfamiliar American landscape, the play explores deeply relevant themes of identity, displacement, and the struggle to belong. It is a powerful, fast-paced production that shines a light on the resilience of those searching for a place to call home.

Ride the Cyclone:
Strap in for a wild ride! After a roller coaster accident sends 6 teen choir members to a mysterious limbo, a fortune teller challenges them to a theatrical showdown for a second chance at life. Through a spectacular, genre-spanning score, each teen reveals their wildest dreams and deepest secrets. Wicked, hilarious, and surprisingly moving, Ride the Cyclone is a thrilling, bittersweet celebration of life.
