Hi Dance and Gymnastics families!
We know you must be wondering what’s on the horizon for Studio B this fall…
Studio B has been pretty quiet this summer but this doesn’t mean we haven’t been missing and thinking about all of you. We have!
We loved seeing so many of you at our Recital Day Celebration. It was far from a typical Recital Day but we still had lots of fun! You looked great in your costumes and your smiles were so bright!
In the spring we were planning and replanning what to do next. Things were changing on a daily basis. In May we decided to go ahead with the celebration and to end our season. It was very sad but the right decision for us. Getting back in class and having a recital just wasn’t anything we could effectively do. Your routines are complex and very interactive. We couldn’t practice while staying safe and socially distant.
And now it’s time to look at the fall…
Our biggest concern here at Studio B is keeping all of our students, families and staff safe and healthy.
We have always prided ourselves by offering you the best dance and gymnastic training available in a safe, fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Because Studio B offers both dance and gymnastics classes, this complicates things for us, more than for some of the other schools. Social distancing is difficult but doable when teaching dance but nearly impossible while safely teaching the kids in our gymnastics classes. With all of the new rules and regulations in place for schools, we’ve realized that opening classes in the fall would look very different from those we have happily offered you in the past.
Now the tough decision…
With the recent spike and uncertainty of Covid in our area, we have decided to “press the pause button” here at Studio B. We’re broken hearted about this but we feel it’s what we have to do to keep everyone safe. We will not be opening for in person classes at this point. Covid won’t last forever and the more we work at stopping the spread, the faster we’ll get through all of this.
What about the future?
Here at Studio B we’re going to take things one step at a time. As the Covid situation progresses, we’ll continue re-evaluating things. Similar to the public schools, we’ll make the next decision about Studio B in November.
One last note…
If you haven’t picked up your Recital Costumes from the past season, please message us, or call 781 595-8811, and we’ll arrange a time for you to do so.
Until then, stay healthy and safe. We miss you!
Love,
Miss Betty
