E.C. Glass High School Theatre is excited to welcome Mr. Van Hoffman as our new Technical Theatre Director!

Van brings more than 25 years of experience in education, having served as both a technology teacher and elementary school teacher in both Lynchburg City Schools and Fairfax County. He is no stranger to E.C. Glass, where he served as the school's Instructional Technology Resource Teacher.

In addition to his educational background, Van has experience in television production, bringing valuable real-world technical expertise to our theatre program.

Over the past three years, Van has been a dedicated "Tech Dad" volunteer, supporting productions behind the scenes and working closely with our students. Most recently, he helped mentor students during the 2025 Virginia Theatre Association (VTA) competition, where E.C. Glass earned the championship title.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Hoffman to the E.C. Glass Theatre Department!
