The cast, understudies, and design team for EURYDICE are announced. The Randolph College Department of Performing Arts is pleased to share this wonderful team.

EURYDICE will run November 5-8, 2026 in Thoresen Theatre at Randolph College.

The play, written by Sarah Ruhl, follows the myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story. —Concord Theatricals.

Directed by Savannah Davis ‘27.

Fiddler and violinist Andrew Finn Magill will bring his blend of old and new to Randolph for the College’s Guest Artist Concert Series.

Magill, who will perform in Thoresen Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 12, blends traditional Irish music with Brazilian choro jazz and American fiddle styles.

He has performed for the College twice before, virtually in 2021 and in person in 2022.

“We’re really excited to bring Finn back to campus,” said Emily Yap Chua, Randolph’s Catherine Ehrman Thoresen ’23 and William Erness Thoresen Professor of Music and director of the Guest Artist Series. “Our students loved hearing his compositions and learning about the life of a professional studio musician during his last residency, and they’ll get the same opportunity during this one. He is engaging and approachable, both as a person and a musician.”

Magill is a Fulbright fellow, a South Arts Emerging Traditional Artist, and has been featured on MTV, PBS, TEDx, and NPR.

Since 2021, he has scored for film and television, with projects ranging from short indie films to commercials. He has also worked with film composer Christopher LaRue Horton on several projects as a featured violinist and has been a professional voice actor for radio, film, TV, and audiobooks.

While he’s on campus, Magill will visit Chua’s American Popular Music class and perform for students at R.S. Payne Elementary School.

“These outreach performances are such an important part of our Guest Artist Series,” Chua said. “They give young students a chance to experience professional musicians up close, while giving our artists an opportunity to connect with a wide-ranging audience. It’s a wonderful way for the College to connect with the Lynchburg community as a whole.”

Magill will be joined by a world-class rhythm section of piano, bass, and drums.

Tickets to the performances are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors, and free for students and children younger than 18.
