September is here, and I’m so excited for all the fall things... especially for The Next Act Gala at the Academy Center of the Arts on September 19th!✨

This year, my husband Alan and I are thrilled to support the Gala as Platinum Sponsors. As a former board member of the Academy, and now as Executive Director of the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, I know how important this resource is to our community. As longtime supporters and patrons of the Academy, Alan and I can’t wait to be a part of this special evening celebrating creativity, connection, and community.

1964 Tribute Show — November 12
Take a trip back to the early ’60s with “1964”…The Tribute, hailed by *Rolling Stone* as the “Best Beatles Tribute on Earth.” Experience the music, look, instruments, and energy of an authentic early Beatles concert.

Shadows of the 60s: A Holiday Tribute to Motown — December 12

A little TLC for the Academy.

There’s a little freshening up happening at the Academy! Our building is being cleaned and getting a fresh coat of paint as part of the ongoing care of this historic space.

A special thank you to the Easley Foundation and everyone who supported our Facilities Investment Fund. Your generosity helps make projects like this possible and allows us to continue caring for the spaces our community enjoys every day.
