This year, Pioneer Theatre invites you to step into the extraordinary world of James and the Giant Peach—a Christmas story of adventure, friendship, imagination, and finding a place to call home.
When James Henry Trotter discovers something extraordinary in his own backyard, his world suddenly becomes much bigger. Joined by a remarkable crew of oversized insect companions, James sets off aboard a giant peach, sailing across oceans and continents toward a new adventure.
But this journey is about more than where the peach goes.
It’s about who you meet along the way.
And bringing this story to life will be an adventure of its own.

📖Pioneer Theatre will welcome second-grade students from Lynchburg City Schools to a special daytime matinee celebrating the connection between literature and live performance. Together, we’ll help young learners discover that the stories they read can become worlds they can see, hear, and experience.
