Pioneer Theatre Heritage High School's award winning student theatre program! Heritage High School's Pioneer Theatre is a student run program with Theatre Director Larry Hart.

In 2010, the Virginia Theatre Association named Director Larry Hart theatre educator of the year. All sets are built by Applied Technical Theater I & II classes. In the fall of 2017 the Acting II class advanced to State competition with their production of "Second Samuel" and placed 1st at the Virginia Theatre Association's annual conference. Winning the VTA High School competition allowed Pioneer

Theatre to attend and compete at the national level at Southeastern Theatre Conference in Mobile, Alabama. HHS is blessed with an amazing amount of talented students. 🎓✨ Senior Sendoff: Meliyah Webb! ✨🎓

For the past three years, Meliyah Webb has been a dedicated member of Pioneer Theatre’s One-Act Team, contributing her voice, leadership, and artistic energy to the program. 🎭 Her presence on stage and in rehearsal has helped elevate every production she’s been a part of.

Beyond theatre, Meliyah serves in student leadership as the Heritage High School representative to the LCS School Board 🏫, demonstrating a strong commitment to advocacy and student voice. She also continues to develop her craft through vocal training at Timbre Studios 🎤 and community theatre experiences with Renaissance Theatre, The Academy, and Little Town Players 🎬.

This fall, Meliyah will attend the Savannah College of Art and Design 🎓 to study Performing Arts, where she plans to pursue a career in television, film, and theatre acting. 🎥✨ Her passion, confidence, and dedication will continue to open doors in the performing arts industry.

🎓✨ Senior Sendoff: Luke Snyder! ✨🎓

For the past four years, Luke Snyder has been a dedicated member of Pioneer Theatre’s One-Act Team, earning his Theatre Cord while continually growing as a committed and focused performer. 🎭 His dedication to the craft and willingness to take on new challenges have been a strong presence in our program.

Luke has also expanded his training through vocal performance at Timbre Studios 🎤, community theatre with Renaissance Theatre and Wolfbane 🎬, and athletics as a member of the HHS Soccer team ⚽. His range of experiences reflects both discipline and passion in everything he pursues.

This fall, Luke will attend Arcadia University 🎓 to pursue a BFA in Acting. He plans to build a career in performance across theatre, film, television, and voice acting—bringing stories to life across every medium. 🎬🎙️✨

For the past three years, Paige Neylon has been a valued member of Pioneer Theatre’s One-Act Team, contributing to a collaborative and high-achieving ensemble. 🎭 Her dedication and professionalism have helped strengthen the company both on and off stage.

Beyond theatre, Paige has continued to grow her craft through vocal training at Timbre Studios 🎤, community theatre with Timbre and Brown Productions 🎬, and early college coursework 📚. Her drive and commitment to excellence are evident in every endeavor she takes on.

This fall, Paige will attend James Madison University 🎓 as a member of the Honors College, where she will study International Business with a concentration in Marketing. She also plans to pursue minors in Mandarin 🇨🇳 and Interdisciplinary Studies. Paige aspires to work in brand management within the beauty industry 💄✨, combining creativity, culture, and strategy in her future career.

🎓✨ Senior Sendoff: Macy Neal! ✨🎓

For the past four years, Macy Neal has been a dedicated member of Pioneer Theatre’s One-Act Team, earning her Theatre Cord through commitment both onstage and behind the scenes. 🎭 Her work ethic, versatility, and team spirit have made her an invaluable part of the program.

Macy is also a multi-sport athlete, competing in volleyball 🏐, basketball 🏀, and tennis 🎾, while staying deeply involved in FCA, NHS, the student section leadership team, and the Nurse Aide Program. 📚💙 She also served as a camp counselor for the Academy Summer Camps, demonstrating leadership and care in every role she takes on.

This fall, Macy will attend Virginia Commonwealth University 🎓 to study Nursing and pursue a future career in healthcare. 🩺 Her compassion, dedication, and drive will no doubt make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

For the past four years, Lydia McMonagle has been a dedicated member of Pioneer Theatre’s One-Act Team, earning her Theatre Cord through her commitment to both performance and scenic artistry. 🎭🎨 Her creativity, discipline, and artistry have made a meaningful impact on the program.

Lydia’s passions extend far beyond the stage. She has been actively involved in orchestra 🎻, chorus 🎶, literary magazine 📖, environmental and aquaponics clubs 🌱, French club 🇫🇷, and vocal training at Timbre Studios 🎤, along with volunteer work in the nursery at Heritage Baptist 🤍. Her wide-ranging involvement reflects a deep commitment to both the arts and her community.

This fall, Lydia will attend American University to study International Studies and French Language. 📚 She hopes to pursue a future career in human rights and environmental advocacy, working to make a positive impact on global communities and the planet. 🌍✨

🎓✨ Senior Sendoff: Paige Jensen! ✨🎓

Paige Jensen participated in Pioneer Theatre this year as a member of the One-Act Team, bringing a unique and energetic presence to the program. 🎭⚡ Her enthusiasm and individuality added something special to the stage experience.

Outside of theatre, Paige has built an impressive and disciplined background in both the arts and athletics. She has dedicated 15 years to ballet 🩰, 8 years to mixed martial arts and jujitsu 🥋, and has given her time to volunteer work with Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue 🫏❤️. Her commitment, strength, and compassion shine through in everything she does.

Paige plans to pursue a career in animal care and will begin working in an Aquarium this summer 🐠🐾, continuing her hands-on dedication to supporting and caring for animals.

We are proud of all Paige has accomplished and excited to see her continue turning her passion into purpose!

🎓✨ Senior Sendoff: Andy Ham! ✨🎓

For the past four years, Andy Ham has been a dedicated member of the Pioneer Theatre One-Act Team, earning his Theatre Cord while growing as a performer, musician, and collaborator. 🎭🎶 His creativity, passion, and commitment to the arts have made a lasting impact on our program.

Andy’s talents extend well beyond the stage. He has studied guitar with Casey Wood, received vocal training through Timbre Studios, performed with community theatre through Renaissance Theatre Company, completed a music internship with Amplify, and is an active member of his band, Sunset Goose. 🎸🎤🎵 He has also dedicated his time to serving others through volunteer work with Food Not Bombs and Meals on Wheels. ❤️

This fall, Andy will begin his college journey at CVCC before transferring to Greensboro College. 📚 He plans to study General Studies while continuing to pursue his passion for music, with aspirations of building a career as both a performer and producer. 🎧🎼

For the past four years, Sarah Chaudhry has been an integral member of Pioneer Theatre, contributing her talents to the One-Act Team and earning her Theatre Cord through her dedication, artistry, and commitment to growth as a stage manager & lighting technician. 🎭💙

Sarah's interests extend far beyond the stage. She has been actively involved in NHS, Environmental and Aquaponics Studies, Scholastic Bowl, ice skating, and the Governor’s School program. 📚🌱⛸️ Her passion for learning and intellectual curiosity have made a lasting impact on our school community.

This fall, Sarah will attend The Ohio State University to study Philosophy and Classics. 🏛️📖 With a deep appreciation for critical thinking and inquiry, she is considering a future in higher education or law, where she can continue exploring big ideas and making meaningful contributions to her field.

🎓✨ Senior Sendoff: Coleman Bradner! ✨🎓

Coleman Bradner has been a valued member of Pioneer Theatre, contributing his talents to the One-Act Team this year with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to explore new creative challenges. 🎭

Beyond the stage, Coleman has pursued a variety of passions, including rock climbing at Rise Up Climbing Gym 🧗, skateboarding 🛹, vocal training with Timbre Studios 🎶, and serving his community through volunteer work with the Salvation Army ❤️. His adventurous spirit and dedication to learning have helped shape his unique path.

As an Early College graduate, Coleman will attend the College of William & Mary this fall to study Anthropology with a focus in Archaeology. 🏺📚 He hopes to build a career studying Mesoamerican cultures and sharing their stories through museum work in Washington, D.C.

We are proud of all Coleman has accomplished and excited to see where his passion for discovery leads him next!

For the past four years, Sam Boswell has been a dedicated member of Pioneer Theatre, contributing his talents to the One-Act Team and earning his Theatre Cord through his commitment, leadership, and passion for the arts. 🎭

Beyond the stage, Sam has been actively involved in DECA, Esports, Renaissance Theatre, Sandusky Spartan Drama, and worked as a Theatre Technician for Lynchburg City Schools. His diverse interests and creative spirit have made a lasting impact on our program and community.

This fall, Sam will attend Randolph College to study Computer Science and Game Design, with a minor in Film. 💻🎮🎬 He hopes to pursue a career in video game development, combining storytelling, technology, and interactive design to create immersive experiences for others.
