Introducing: Charon, Keeper of the Freight & Fuel

Need some gas?
He’ll fill your tank, but not before asking if you’re sure. And if you are, he’ll have three rules for you as he collects his toll.
1. Don’t stop along the Road unless your Passenger tells you to. Otherwise, you’ll have to give up something before moving on again.
2. Don’t disrespect a fellow traveler while on the Road. Conflict attracts trouble.
3. The fried chicken will probably help. Probably.
At a seemingly normal gas station called Charon’s Freight & Fuel on what could be any normal road, you know, there is a seemingly normal man behind the register. Charon looks exactly how you think he should… at least, based on wherever you find his gas station.
Pleasant, polite, and happy to help, the manager of the Freight & Fuel has whatever you may need. Hungry? His fried chicken is some of the best you’ll ever try. Want an encouraging word? You’ll find wisdom in him you’d never expect to see stocking shelves, cleaning bathroom stalls.
