“Kissin’ Chickens”

I went to a friend’s house for a cookout a few weeks ago and took a picture of two of his chickens (rooster & hen). They appeared to be kissing and I thought it was cute. Enjoy!

I started painting Sparky in Feb and I had painted everything except the area above Sparky. I struggle with backgrounds....

I started painting Sparky in Feb and I had painted everything except the area above Sparky. I struggle with backgrounds.
I decided just to give it a light blue wash and not to add anything else (I thought it would be too busy & I didn’t want to mess him up).
I did brighten up the red jersey and Sparky’s feathers(😂).
I am please with how he turned out.
I am making a few prints (giclees).

Playing with colors while painting fruit!

I thought this lesson was going to be boring!! But to my surprise, it has been one of my favorites!!! I love all the dimensions the colors have added to my paintings.
