The texture on this very old wood is just SO cool; it almost looks like waves up close 🌊👀
Despite the risk of barn theme overload, I felt the weathered grey of the wood went together too well with the black and white stipple style of the art to pass it up 🔲🔳✒️

Insanely curly Maple that pictures don't do justice to capture, with some supporting Cherry on the outsides to form a board big enough to carve a turkey on 🦃

One of the first times I genuinely had difficulty knowing which side I should make on the top or bottom since both sides of the quilted Maple were so pretty 🤩⚖️🤔

Maple Burl Backplates for Hooks 🍁🪝
I had acquired some burl offcuts from a friend in Western NY (pic 6) a while back and had been holding on to them waiting for the right project, and I'm happy to finally have put them to good use hanging up my hunting gear! 🎒
