🚩 WHAT’S THE TRUTH? ️ ▪︎Woodville Incident Claims!

WOODVILLE, TEXAS — Questions are circulating online about an alleged incident involving a woman and a child at a well known fast food restaurant in Woodville.

At this time, SETX Local Loop & Scoop has not independently confirmed that the incident occurred.

▪︎The claims circulating on social media are serious. According to posts and comments being shared online, a woman allegedly assaulted her child at or near the restaurant, and then reportedly ran the child with her car.

•Some claim the child was seriously injured and airlifted to Houston area children’s hospital.

Others have offered a very different account, including claims that the woman later contacted the restaurant regarding belongings that may have been left behind.

There are also claims circulating that any information or social media posts concerning the alleged incident were removed by the fast food restaurant with concerns over social media presence. We have NOT independently verified that claim either.

**And that is exactly why we are asking questions!

🔺️ WHAT WE KNOW... AND WHAT WE DON'T.

Right now, we have social media claims, conflicting accounts, and lots of unanswered questions.

"WE ARE NOT reporting these allegations as fact, and WE ARE NOT accusing anyone of a crime."

"We want the truth!"

**IF** this incident did in fact..happen..the public deserves accurate information about what occurred, the condition of the child, and whether law enforcement became involved.

❌️ **IF** it did not happen, that matters also!

Rumors can spread incredibly fast, especially when a child is allegedly involved. That's why we're looking for firsthand information rather than repeating speculation.

🎯 DID YOU SEE SOMETHING?

We're asking anyone who may have firsthand knowledge to contact us.

Did you personally witness the incident?

Did you see law enforcement, EMS or other first responders at the location?

Are you an employee, family member or someone who was there?

Are you able to provide information that can help establish what actually happened and if this is in fact an incident?

●ANONYMOUS TIPS are welcome!
You can comment below if you're comfortable sharing publicly....*OR* send SETX Local Loop & Scoop a private message if you'd rather remain anonymous.

•We will continue looking for verified information, and will update this story if credible information becomes available.

❌️ IF the claims are proven false, we'll report that also!

🚩 FOR NOW, this remains an UNVERIFIED social-media claim. Nothing more.

❌️ Please don't identify, or accuse private individuals based solely on social media chatter, and please don't share a child's name or personal information.

➡️ WE WANT FACTS...Not rumors...Not assumptions.. THE TRUTH.

➡️ Tag anyone who needs to know, anyone that could possibly know more info.

SETX Local Loop & Scoop will post updates as we get them.

⚠️⚠️ BREAKING ⚠️⚠️ •SCABIES CONFIRMED/ VIDOR HIGH SCHOOL
🚩PARENTS DEMANDING ANSWERS

•VIDOR, TEXAS - Vidor ISD has confirmed an outbreak of scabies at Vidor High School. Putting parents on alert, and triggering a growing wave of concern and anger across local social media.

The district sent a notice to families saying the situation “primarily impacts Vidor High School,” while also acknowledging that the announcement was being sent district wide.

VISD says the high school will undergo a deep cleaning over the weekend. Athletic facilities are also scheduled for what the district described as full fumigation.

Students were instructed to bring home extra clothing stored in athletic, band, plus gym lockers and wash it in hot water as well as to wash the clothes students wore to school that day.

•But the announcement has raised more questions than it answered for some parents.

“WHAT ABOUT THE BUSES?”
One local commenter pointed out that although the district says the situation primarily involves the high school, older and younger students share school buses and close contact with other students, raising concerns about possible exposure beyond the high school campus.

•Others questioned when school officials first became aware of the cases, and whether parents should have been notified sooner.

One infuriated parent said they were told the school had already sent home students who had scabies the day before notifying the parents, and was relying on parents to ensure the infestation was eliminated before Monday.

◇Another commenter questioned what steps the school is taking to treat and clean areas where students may have been exposed.

The tone online has ranged from worried to openly angry.

-WHY PARENTS ARE TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY...

🔺️ Scabies is not simply a rash that goes away on its own. It is caused by MICROSCOPIC human itch MITES that burrow into the skin and is highly contagious.

°The CDC says people can spread scabies even before symptoms appear. First time infections can take weeks, and sometimes up to two months before symptoms develop.

●Parents should watch for intense itching, particularly at night, pimple like rashes and tiny burrow lines.... Especially around the fingers, wrists, elbows, armpits, waist, groin and buttocks.

🚩 If symptoms appear, parents should follow the CDC guidelines & seek certified medical advice if needed.

°The CDC recommends washing clothing, bedding and towels used close to the skin in soap & VERY hot water, then drying them on the HOT cycle. **Items that cannot be washed, can be sealed in a plastic bag for several days to a week.

🚩 Household members and close contacts may also need treatment at the same time to prevent reinfestation.

■ For now, Vidor ISD says it is taking additional cleaning measures, and working with its health team.
But for many parents, the bigger question remains:

•WAS ENOUGH DONE, and was enough information provided, SOON ENOUGH?

🎯 WE WANT TO HEAR FROM FAMILIES!

•Do you have a student, or a family member, who has recently been diagnosed with scabies or another outbreak connected to Vidor schools?

Have you already dealt with symptoms, treatment or exposure from Vidor or somewhere else?

Tell us what you've experienced in the comments! Other parents may have questions that you can help answer. ⬇️

■ BREAKING-GALVESTON, TX

▪︎ Massive Fire Destroys Galveston Seafood Warehouse raising concerns for Gulf Coast Seafood Industry. Here's what we know....

•A massive fire ripped through Texas Gulf Seafood's warehouse on Galveston's waterfront Wednesday night, sending thick black smoke into the sky and drawing firefighters from multiple agencies to battle the blaze for hours.

Fire crews rescued three people and a dog from the building. One firefighter and one civilian were transported for medical evaluation. Officials say the fire is now under control, but crews continue to monitor hot spots while investigators work to determine what caused the blaze. At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

TEXAS GULF SEAFOOD is one of the region's major seafood processors and distributors, handling Gulf shrimp, oysters, blue crab, finfish, and other seafood harvested by commercial fishermen. The company supplies seafood to restaurants, wholesalers and grocery retailers throughout Texas. H-E-B has been identified as one of the grocery chains supplied by the company.

Company officials have not yet said how many employees were affected or how long the facility could be out of operation.

While the full impact won't be known for some time, many are already wondering what this could mean for the Gulf Coast seafood industry.

•If the warehouse is closed for an extended period, local shrimp boats and commercial fishermen may have to travel farther to unload their catches at other processors along the Texas coast. That could mean higher fuel costs, longer trips and smaller profit margins for fishermen who already operate on tight budgets.

The fire could also affect truck drivers, dock workers, seafood markets, restaurants and other businesses connected to the Gulf seafood industry. If processing capacity is reduced, consumers could eventually see higher prices on fresh Gulf shrimp, oysters, crab and fish while distributors work to reroute product through other facilities.

•Many Galveston residents have already taken to social media, expressing relief that lives were saved while also worrying about the families whose livelihoods depend on the seafood industry.

We'll continue to follow this story and post updates as investigators release more information.

•WHAT DO YOU THINK?..... If this warehouse is out of service for weeks or even months, how do you think it will affect our local seafood industry, restaurants and seafood prices here in Southeast Texas?
We'd especially like to hear from commercial fishermen, seafood workers and restaurant owners in the comments.

◼️Lumberton TX.
Despite a rough start from Mother Nature, skies are expected to improve just in time for a big Southeast Texas’ Memorial Weekend community gathering. 🌤🇺🇸

The “Red, White & Remember!” event hosted by the Lumberton Farmers Market & Vendor Fair and is still set to welcome families to Lumberton with carnival rides, vendors, food trucks, pony rides, petting zoo attractions, live entertainment, and patriotic community activities.

▪︎After heavy clouds and unsettled weather move through the area, local forecasts indicate conditions are expected to gradually clear, giving way to a much better day and evening outlook for outdoor activities.

Organizers say the event is designed rain-or-shine anyway, with indoor areas and covered pavilion space available if needed.

▪︎The event, themed around honoring heroes while celebrating community, blends small-town Americana with family entertainment.

Attendees can expect carnival rides, shopping from local vendors, artisans, classic fair-style foods, plus activities for kids and adults alike.

“Red, White & Remember!” takes place at 1534 S. Main St. in Lumberton, and is open to the public with free admission and parking.

▪︎ Saturday’s festivities are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. following Friday evening activities.

-With improving weather expected and Memorial Weekend already underway, organizers are encouraging families not to let the gloomy morning fool them.

Sometimes Southeast Texas just likes to add a little dramatic opening scene before the sunshine rolls in. 🇺🇸🎡🌤
