layground for kids and 50s Cafe for dinner, drinks and snacks. Our drive-in story goes all the way back to 1948 when Ryan Smith's grandfather started the Sky-Vue Drive-In Theatre in Lamesa, TX. Ryan grew up hearing great stories about the people, the events, and the food that made this small west Texas business the pride of the town. While experiencing his first drive-in movie at the Sky-Vue in June of 2002, Ryan felt a calling to share this slice of Americana. In January of 2003 Ryan purchased a Lubbock cotton farm, and on August 21st Stars & Stripes Drive-In Theatre started showing double-features and serving Rockin' Eats TM. Many incredible people have believed in our vision of a modern, family-friendly drive-in theatre experience. We are forever grateful for the patronage and support. We consider it an honor to help reclaim this unique part of American history and to serve you a memorable way to watch a movie. Whether you want to load up the family wagon, hang out with friends, or plan a date under the stars, we invite you to enjoy making memories with us.

Hi everybody! We are open FRI - SUN at 7:30. Here is our movie lineup playing Friday and Saturday. We will have Rockin’ Eats & Tasty Treats ready for you in our snack bar. Scary Movie opens FRI 6/5. Disclosure Day opens THURS 6/11. Toy Story 5 opens THURS 6/18. Get out and see these good movies this summer and make memories at the drive-in.
