🎨✨ Art in Action at the 2026 Lubbock Arts Festival

One of the highlights of this year's festival was the Demonstrating Artist Area, where visitors had the opportunity to watch artists create their work live and learn more about their creative processes.

Throughout the weekend, festival attendees enjoyed demonstrations from talented artists and organizations representing a variety of artistic disciplines:

🎨🖍️ Children's Art Area at the 2026 Lubbock Arts Festival!

One of the most exciting destinations for our youngest festival-goers was the Children's Art Area, where creativity, imagination, and hands-on learning were on full display all weekend long.

Children explored a variety of art projects and interactive activities at our KIDSTOPS, hosted by local organizations and businesses throughout the festival. Armed with their stamp cards, young artists collected stamps at each stop and exchanged them for prizes at the KidsFest Store.

From painting and crafting to discovering new creative skills, the Children's Art Area provided countless opportunities for children to learn, create, and have fun while experiencing the arts.

Every great festival experience starts with a warm welcome, and we're grateful to for sponsoring our Admissions Area and helping us greet thousands of visitors throughout the weekend.

🎨✨ Celebrating Our 2026 Featured Artist: Gale Webb

The Lubbock Arts Festival was honored to feature the extraordinary work of Gale Webb as our 2026 Featured Artist.

For more than five decades, Gale has dedicated herself to the study and practice of art, developing a distinctive style that blends realism and abstraction through bold color, expressive design, and a deep appreciation for the creative process. Her work reflects both technical mastery and a spirit of exploration that continues to inspire artists and art lovers alike.

A graduate of Texas Tech University and South Plains College, Gale has earned signature status in numerous prestigious organizations, including the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, and the Southwestern Watercolor Society. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and has received countless awards and honors throughout her distinguished career.

We are grateful to Gale for sharing her talent, passion, and artistic vision with festival attendees and helping make the 2026 Lubbock Arts Festival a truly memorable celebration of the arts.

🐝🌼 A Buzz-Worthy Adventure at the 2026 Lubbock Arts Festival!

One of the most exciting interactive experiences at this year's festival was The Bizzee Bee, created by experiential designer and certified Montessori educator Ashley Bird of

Young festival-goers transformed into busy bumblebees as they explored a larger-than-life Texas Prairie filled with towering native wildflowers. Wearing special goggles that simulated a bee's ultraviolet vision and dressed in bee costumes, participants gathered colorful "pollen" and raced to return it to their hive—learning about pollinators and the natural world through play.

This hands-on experience inspired curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the important role pollinators play in our ecosystem.

A special thank you to the Helen Jones Foundation, Inc. for making this immersive experience possible and helping provide engaging arts and educational opportunities for families attending the festival.

Thank you to Ashley Bird (Blooming with Birdie) for sharing her talent, creativity, and passion for experiential learning with our festival guests. We loved watching children learn, explore, and have fun while becoming part of the story.

🌼🎨 Creativity blooms at the Lubbock Arts Festival!

One of the most colorful and popular stops at this year's festival was our Chalk Art Area, where young artists were invited to create, imagine, and express themselves through art.

From flowers and hearts to original masterpieces, the Chalk Art Area was filled with creativity, laughter, and memories made together. Seeing children bring their artistic visions to life is one of the many reasons we love celebrating the arts in our community.

The Llano Estacado Clay Guild is proud to present the 29th Annual Wine & Clay Festival, taking place this Saturday, June 6 (11 a.m.–5 p.m.) and Sunday, June 7 (Noon–5 p.m.) at Llano Estacado Winery, 3426 FM 1585, Lubbock, TX 79404. Admission is free, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy a weekend of art, wine, and culture.

For nearly three decades, this beloved event has brought together artists, collectors, and wine lovers for a unique weekend celebrating creativity. While pottery remains at the heart of the festival, visitors will also find a wide variety of artwork from regional artists working in many different media.

For $25, visitors can purchase a commemorative Wine & Clay Riedel stemless wine glass and receive three tickets for wine tastings to enjoy while exploring the festival. Wine will also be available for purchase throughout the weekend by the glass and bottle.

Browse hundreds of handmade pieces, watch demonstrations of wheel throwing and hand-building techniques, meet local artists, and enjoy the distinctive atmosphere of the winery surrounded by aging barrels and tanks.

The Llano Estacado Clay Guild is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting education, participation, and appreciation of clay arts. Throughout the year, the guild provides workshops, scholarships, public demonstrations, and opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell their work. Wine & Clay is their largest annual fundraiser and showcase.
