The last month has been busy. Here's why.

Thirty four years in the 806.

It's been something special, and I don't take that lightly. Both my kids were born here. We've celebrated 20 CMN Radiothons, had my daughter yell out at me to get out of the road cause the 4th on Broadway parade I was announcing was about to be near.

The events we built from nothing and the wonderful people who showed up every time. The companies and friends who trusted me with their brands and their memories.

But I'm headed to Austin now. New chapter. New challenges. Same guy.

I'll be in Lubbock until the 15th then working remotely for my current stations until I find my next challenge.

And if anyone asks why I got a little quiet writing this... it ain't tears. That's just West Texas in my eye.

If you know someone in Austin who needs a guy with 30+ years of live events, brand building, and audience development under his belt, point them my way.

My friends, it's not goodbye. I'll see you down the road.

As for Beyond the Mic... New episodes coming soon... from Austin.

Zoie Tannous spent five years managing healthcare operations in New York while quietly keeping a theater career alive on the side. A year and a half ago she almost went home. ALMOST! She didn't, and now she's starring in the national tour of Clue. When Zoie goes Beyond the Mic, she talks about her dream when the safer version of your life is already working. What keeps you going when the answer keeps being no?

A year and a half ago, Zoie Tannous was sitting on her couch in pajamas, answering work emails, and wondering if it was time to give up on the dream. She didn't. Now she's starring in the national tour of Clue and going Beyond the Mic.

Kenny Albert has called some of the biggest moments in sports. But the part that stayed with me was how simple it all started. A kid, a tape recorder, and a love for the game that never left.

Kenny Albert doesn’t over complicate it. Preparation matters, sure. The hours stack up. But underneath all of it, there’s something simpler driving him , he still loves it. Kenny Albert doesn’t over complicate it. Preparation matters, sure. The hours stack up. But underneath all of it, there’s something simpler driving him , he still loves it.

You can hear it when he talks about those early days in Baltimore, doing everything from calling games to picking players up at the airport. No ego. Just reps.

“You probably always want to have the perfect night. You never do.”

We get into what it actually takes to be ready across four major sports, the moments he wishes he could’ve called, and the ones he knew instantly would live forever. There’s also a side you don’t always hear. Stories like being a dad while living on the road, a gift from his wife that stopped him in his tracks, and why the March of Dimes hits close to home.

Kaitlyn O'Leary joins the show to talk about life on the road with the Tony Award-winning musical Hadestown. She shares her "Rockin' 8" essentials, including her very specific In-N-Out order and her unapologetic love for Beyoncé. Whether you’re a theater nerd or just love a good story about sticking it out until the dream hits, this one is for you.

Kaitlyn O'Leary is currently living the dream on the national tour of Hadestown, If you ask her what the best part is, she won’t point to the standing ovations. She’ll tell you about the "family unit" in the ensemble and a s’mores moment in Wichita.

Due to circumstances beyond my control:

New episodes of Beyond the Mic with Sean Dillon will be delayed due to a computer crash this evening.

The main audio drive has been lost and the backup was corrupted.

I apologize for the delay but unless I can find someone to save the data on the main audio drive, I'll be starting from scratch and losing more then 50 episodes.

I apologize to the guests who have shared their stories with me but this is beyond my ability to repair.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Happy Birthday to Sean today. He is old.
