We've got a full day planned for Buddy's 90th Birthday Bash! Come test your Buddy Holly knowledge with trivia at 11 AM and at 1 PM. Make your own Buddy buttons to take home. And find plenty of other free kid's activities, photo opportunities, sweet treats, and more!

Today we remember the birthday of Jerry Allison, the innovative drummer for The Crickets and a key collaborator of Buddy Holly.

Born in Hillsboro, Texas, Allison helped shape the distinctive sound of early rock and roll with his steady rhythms and creative ideas in the studio. He also co-wrote several classic songs, including That'll Be the Day and Peggy Sueβ€”the latter famously named after his future wife.

As both a drummer and songwriter, Jerry Allison’s contributions helped define the music that continues to influence artists today. On his birthday, we celebrate his lasting impact on rock and roll and the legacy he helped create.
