Dance Therapy,
Here's a good reason to take your partner by the hand and head for the dance floor:
Italian researchers have shown that, for people who are in cardiac rehabilitation programs, waltzing is as good for hearts as cycling and treadmill workouts. And, for for many people, it's a whole lot more fun. Although the researchers looked specifically at waltzing, any form of dance will get your blood flowing.

Fitness over Fifty, a Dancercise Class
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 AM
Starts: Tuesday, January 9th
Cost: $45 for 7 classes, or $10 per class per person

This a Dancercise class. Not like Zumba, or Jazzercise. But a system of aerobic exercise using dance movements. This class is a blend of exercise and dance. In this class you will learn real dance patterns and dance elements. The class will start with a period of easy, but effective stretching. Then it will move into a tactical self- defense period, which is still part of the warm up. Then we will move into the dance phase and we will learn basic patterns in, Waltz, Rumba, Salsa, Merengue, Samba, 2-Step, Quick Step, Cha-Cha, and Bolero. Learn dance movements the Fun, Easy Way!
