Classes start this Sunday! Even if you can't come to all of the classes, come when you can! We look forward to seeing you.

The Recovery Play and Drama Classes for Individuals in Recovery will re-start on Sunday, February 22, 2026 and run through Sunday, April 26, 2026. All classes are held at the Second Baptist Church located at 6109 Chicago Avenue, Lubbock, TX.

The Recovery Play is 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Students will create a play about recovery from substance use, eating disorders, and trauma. Each “recovery” play will be approximately 30 minutes and will be written and performed by all students sharing their combined experiences, strengths, and hopes for invited guests.

Drama Classes for Individuals in Recovery will be from 4:30 PM - 6 PM. This class gives students the opportunity to create original monologues and scenes based on their personal journey in recovery. Drama techniques used in class are scene setting, improvisation, body movement, role playing, mirroring and other drama therapy methods. Students write and perform monologues about their worst day in addiction and their best day in recovery, and a monologue from their Higher Power to them.

Classes are $50 per person for all 20 classes. Scholarships are ALWAYS available just let Sean know your needs at (323) 542-6485 or just show up to class.

Many thanks to The Atom for spending time with us during our last show. We had a great run with lots of audience participation! We can't wait until we can do it again!

In the meantime, Drama Classes for Individuals in Recovery will resume on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM starting with the Recovery Play Class. It runs until 4:30 PM and then the Drama Class for Individuals in Recovery class starts at 4:30 PM and runs until 6:00 PM. Classes are held the Second Baptist Church located at 6109 Chicago Avenue, Lubbock, TX. Classes are 10 weeks long and will conclude on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

We are well into tech week. This show goes up on Thursday, February 5, 2026 and runs through Saturday, February 7, 2026. Get your tickets soon to this audience interactive work of art. Seating is limited.

These shows are suggested for ages 16 plus, but certainly always at the discretion of parents. Come join us for thought provoking, real world scenarios in the 2nd Annual "Recovery Play on the Edge."

Performances will be held at The First Unitarian Universalist of Lubbock located at 2801 42nd St, Lubbock, TX 79413. Doors will open at 7:00 PM and performances start at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $17 General Admission with a $5 discount for Military (code military.)

Just a little over a week until this production goes up. The actors and crew have been working hard to bring "The Recovery Play on the Edge" to life.

There will be 2 plays, both written by the students in The Recovery Play class. This production is audience interactive and lets everyone explore different outcomes.

Performances are Thursday, February 5th, Friday, February 6th, and Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Doors open at 7:00 PM and Curtain is at 7:30 PM. Performances are held at the First Unitarian Universalist of Lubbock located at 2801 42nd St, Lubbock, TX 79413 (42nd & Canton.)
